I was so disappointed in this school Tori Farmer Director of Enrollment should not be in that role she was completely rude for someone who is suppose to make you want to enroll your kids in the school. I called the school for a week trying to get hold of her for a tour then finally had someone call me and said I can come in on Wednesday Tuesday night I checked my voice mail and had a message from Tori informing me my tour was cancelled and I can go in at 8 30 or 9 am on Thursday or Friday. Thursday I showed up at 9am to be informed Tori was busy I asked the person at the front can I wait on her and she said she doesn't know what her schedule is like I then asked if there was anyone else I can speak with and she said no. Tori then called me later that afternoon and was extremely rude telling me she expected me at 8 30 and I didn't show up and they don't take walk-ins and she had nothing else available for me. How can you expect me at 8 30 when she never spoke to me to confirm and she told me she was available Thursday and Friday at those times. This is the first Christian school I've ever been to with such rude staff...will not be sending my kids here.

I believe Real Life Christian Academy is a great addition in Clermont Lake County. I look for private school with religious affiliation and with out. Lake County have so many "religious private school" that they don't look private schools for the tuition they charged. Real life Christian Academy is the only one who stand up to be called a private school. Offers many programs compared to Montverde Academy which charges "double" than Real life Academy. If you do you homework looking for "private school" you going to find out the "tuition" is the lower compare with others private schools (I mean real private schools).
This school has much to offer! The facilities are amazing top notch. However if your student has exceptionalities beware. The school has a strict policy on accommodations. Students with exceptionalities must enroll in OT. My son s therapy nearly doubled his tuition. The Discovery Program netted very little growth. The school prides its self with academic excellence but I have found that many of their instructors are inept. If your student is struggling you will be paying for a tutor. Very little review or remediation will be done at all to make sure your child has mastered the skill. Many classes are lecture based and the curriculum is not engaging. Often students read from the text and then answer text book questions. In my opinion this is not rigor. My son has been at Real Life for 2 years while there have been many positives he has struggled academically. My former honor roll student has failed his first and second class. This is not due to effort but because the schools policy and instructional quality do not meet his academic needs. I would not recommend this school or its intervention program for a student with exceptionalities.
My daughter is in third grade and her teacher Mr. Brown is the best teacher yet! He uses fun and humor along with high expectations and she continues to thrive! She loves coming to school every day! Thanks Real Life for changing my daughter's life!
While we are away at work my husband and I are at peace with where our child is and how he is being treated.
Congrats to RLCA on achieving your accreditation from ACSI. Full accreditation for five years is really a huge achievement. Great job to all!
My first grader was blessed this year with a kind patient energetic and extremely motivating teacher. He absolutely loves her as he did his Kindergarten teacher last year. It is amazing what he has learned this school year. What a blessing RLCA has been in our lives. Thank you to that wonderful teacher who "really loves flowers" for all you have done for him.
I find the teachers to be so committed to the kids and does such great work with them.
My son has been attending Real Life for 3 years now. I am so pleased with the entire staff. The teachers the Principal's and the rest of the staff does an awesome job. His 3rd grade and 4th grade teachers did an amazing job. He is in the 5th grade now and he once again has a great teacher. She has had so much interest in his education and has showed that the entire school year. Thumbs up to Real Life...
REAL LIFE IS A GREAT SCHOOL. Our main objective for our children is a strong Christian education from biblical perspective and spiritual leaders who can assist in mentoring our children this school has it. My children love their classmates their teachers and the overall atmosphere of Real Life. We also realize that not every student every parent every teacher or even the administration staff will see eye to eye on every situation or circumstance; therefore the school turns to Matthew 18 in handling all issues. Our family is extremely happy with Real Life and we will continue to pray for the leaders and teacher of this school!
I couldn't imagine my children attending any other school in Clermont. The teachers and staff are amazing. My children absolutely love it there!
I love the small school atmosphere with a big school feel. I enjoy the fact that as a parent I am always encouraged be involved and be a part of my childs school experience. The Christian education reflects the directly with the theme of Real Life Church. Great School!
Real life Christian is awesome if teaches faith studies and life to my daughter. I the God everyday for this school. I thank you mrs. Wilkes mrs sotillie and now Mrs Davis she has made our little girl blossom and grow.
Real Life has been wonderful for my children this year. In fact my 5th grader absolutely adores the teacher. She is helpful patient and most importantly approachable. While we believe and truly appreciate the teachers our children have we know that education in every sense of the word begins at home. Just like discipline. Real Life offers a great curriculum and a safe environment. The school also encourages parental involvement which is beneficial to all involved.
This is a great School with a very Challenging Academic program. The Administration however leaves a lot to be desired. The Administration in general has a bad attitude and does not give the due respect to the students or parents. I believe they makeup new rules as they go along because there is usually a new rule a week. I am suprised that a great ministry like RealLife would allow such an attitude to continue. I will be moving on for next year.
Our son had gone through 6th grade at our local public school. He had been passing with C s or better but we could tell that he really wasn t getting it . After taking the placement test at RLCA we were shocked to learn that his reading comprehension and vocabulary were at only a 2nd grade level. We knew he would fall through the cracks if he remained at public school; so we decided to have him repeat 6th grade at RLCA in August 2007. The teachers and administrators at RLCA have been great. They have encouraged and uplifted him imparting both discipline and grace. Last week he took the required College Placement Test for Dual Enrollment at our local Community College. To God s glory and with the help of some truly amazing teachers friends and mentors he passed the Reading portion of the test and will take an English class over the summer. With the extra classes he ll be able to take he will have enough credits to make up for the year he was held back and will graduate in May 2013. Thank you Real Life Christian Academy for holding our son to a higher academic standard and helping him to achieve his goals.
Real Life has been a wonderful school for our two children. The teachers care about the children and they are great mentors. There is a Christian atmosphere to everything they do. We can't imagine going anywhere else.
Comment to "My son is been attending to this school for a couple years". I read your comment and I must disagree with you. It is not the school's responsibility to correct your child's behavior. Behavior and dscipline MUST begin at home. The school can only help to reinforce what you as parents have established in that child. I have 3 children at Real life and one who was having some behavior issues. Real Life worked with us to help develop a plan for success and it worked. Parenting class are offered throughout the year and we have found that both the teachers and the administration are VERY accessible. If you expect the school to "fix" your child you have a wrong impression of the role of any school. It was once said that it "Takes a Village" to raise a child but I found that statement only partially correct. Yes we must support each other but the foundation MUST be established at home with loving parents who understand the need for rules discipline and love. A school like Real Life is only a PART of the team. You are the coach.
Comment to "My son is been attending to this school for a couple years". Do not have a child in this school but saw your post when looking at schools in the area. Just curious why you think it is the school's responsibility to teach children to obey. Is that not our job as parents?
My son is been attending to this school for a couple years unfortunately he is not improving his behavior or his grades the teacher is not well prepared to manage his behavior neither administration even with a PHD referral after referral i feel that I'm on my own. If you have a kid with some type of misconduct or disabilities this is not the school for you but if your kid is an angel and you are a full time mom or dad then this is a good place for them you just do the work for them and pay tuition to keep the schooll up. Administration and some teachers have to go. Please.
