The rating system here needs to be divided between teachers and administration. The teachers here for the most part are excellent so far. We moved to this area at the beginning of this year and found 7th grade to be similar to what we were used to in a different state except for the second language requirement. NY state schools require a second language which doesn't make sense to me especially for kids with learning disabilities. I would give the teaching staff a B+ the administration (upper level) a D. The administrative staff seems to think they know more about my child than I do which I will never defer to. I hope next year the high school is more parent friendly than the administration at the middle school is. Great teachers terrible admins.
