My daughter is in 1st grade here and we LOVE this school. It really is a community with all of the teachers loving their jobs and it shows!! We are so thankful for the staff and everyone at College Hills!! A bonus is that every student gets $7 worth of books each and every month for free!!! )

My oldest son is in kindergarten this year and we have been very pleased with the school so far. My son LOVES his teacher and I really like her too. She responds quickly to emails and she always calls if there is a problem. There is plenty of communication between the school and the parents. The principal assistant principal and counselor are always helping get kids in and out of cars both before and after school. We are moving soon and I'm sad to leave such a great school!

Both my children attended College Hills and I have to say it is the BEST elementary school in College Station. All the teachers and staff really care about the students. The administrative staff is always out and about. Before and after school whoever is on car duty they literally open your car doors so your child can get out/in even the administration. The front office staff is so welcoming. They have a very active PTO. College Hills is a very diverse school but that is what makes it unique. They celebrate every tradition. It is truly one of a kind.

Not very happy that my 5yr old son was left behind after lunch. His teacher should have checked that she had all her students before she left the cafeteria. What if this would have happened on the playground or on a field trip!

College Hills is a wonderful school and I am so happy that my child goes there. I am very happy with the ease of dropping and picking up my child as you know when they get out of your car they are safe. I never worry about my child in school because I know that this school is very secure and they are very careful. I love my sons teacher she is the greatest and my son is learning so much from her. The principal and vice principal are very active in everything at this school even out there in the mornings getting your kids from the car. As far as special needs I really believe that this school is the first to offer assistance and be there to assist you throughout it all. I have all good things to say this school from the front office on is the best.

Both my children attended College Hills Elementary School.......The school was very innovative had committed teachers and provided an exciting environment for the children. At the present time my grandson attends College Hills. I am impressed with their small classes and individual attention given to each child...He is so excited in the mornings to get to his class! There is a teacher for each student in resource classes and other special needs classes. There are music art and PE classes for all ages including the kindergarteners. Their playgrounds provides equipment that contributes to their imagination and role-playing....College Hills is an A+ school!

This is THE BEST elementary school! When we bought our house we told the realtor to show us homes only if they were within the College Hills elementary school attendance zone. The faculty and staff have great relationships with the parents and students. I have always felt welcome and appreciated whenever I have been able to participate in school activities.

This is a great school however if your child has ADD or other special needs you will be in for the fight of your life to get help. Getting the counselor to do her job to get the ball rolling and to provide you with information (that you shouldn't have to ask for) will be the biggest hurdle you will encounter. If you don't know what an ARD is and what it involves and what your rights are don't expect the counselor to assist you unless you specifically ask in writing what it is you need. The only problem is you won't know what to ask for because it'll all be new to you and you won't know what to ask for. Start with the school's Assessment Office they might be more helpful. The web is also resourceful in this area.

My family has really enjoyed being part of this school. The setting is in a safe neighborhood on a one way with lots of trees providing a buffer between the school and residential areas. The principal is very active and visible at school events and even participates in meetings. The PTO is very active and sends out regular e-mail updates a real plus for working parents. The teachers are experienced and caring. The curriculum is challenging and encourages parent involvement.
