Concord High has a friendly good-natured independent and responsible student body. Band and choir are both strong programs and while the school has a bad rep for drugs I doubt they're worse there than at any other HS in the district. Academically this school is terrible. To get to college you have to be extremely self-motivated. The college counselor is knowledgable and excellent at empowering students who want to go to college but outside of her office you will be the sole force pushing yourself towards higher education not your teachers administration or classmates. Teachers care a lot about their students but classes are still unproductive and don't progress much through the curriculum. AP and Honors classes are more conducive to learning but not especially challenging. I graduated several years ago and went to a competitive private liberal arts college and found that my high school education had not prepared me at all for even the most introductory college courses. However that also shows that it's not impossible to get to a four-year college from Concord High if you know what you want (and live in the college counselor's office work hard and find financial aid).

Concord high school is a elite school which alows cultral diversity. It also is filled with caring staff. The robotics program is the only one in the district and is an amzeing program. Exspesally when it comes to the Boo Belly project. (it is a robotics thing) Also the physics class is filled with students willing to learn. It is lead by a great teacher who makes learing such a complex concept a fun exspreance. There are lots of fun labs to learn like the egg drop and the flying pig. This is a great school and any student would be lucky to get into this school. Theis is also a great sports program in whixh we lead the school to glory. Go Concord High!!!!!!

Coming from a private school background (all my life as a parent and for my child's elementary school career) we are pleasantly satisfied with our experience at CHS. They have a wide array of extracurricular activities and the means to academic success are available if a student seeks it. It is true that it is not as easy to find the inspiration to remain academically engaged in a public school. But such is the student population. The teachers overall are engaged motivated hardworking and seek to understand the majority of their students. All in all CHS does a wonderful job.

It is a place for slackers. The students don't want to try and those that do are held back. Teachers here don't care about students and often aren't prepared for class. The only bearable thing here is friends. If you don't have friends... good luck surviving.

As a student who graduated and is about to graduate from college this year it had a fantastic arts program probably one of the best around. I don't know if it still is but the English Department was also very good.

Well organized and caring environment. The staff supports one another and the students.

Concord High is so supportive and they're always pushing for us to go forward. The Choir Band and Drama programs especially. We are strong academically and we always work together. When our VP's wife died last year we were the first to step up and start helping him we had a penny drive and sold bracelets raising over a thousand dollars.

The school itself can be very pretty especially in the spring when all the cherry blossom trees are in bloom and everybody is super nice. Teachers are generally good at what they do. The extra stuff besides the academic are really good too and it's nice to belong to a school of winners like our choirs and bands sometimes sports.

Concord High has an extaordinarily talented and kind staff. It also has many acclaimed Arts programs such as it's choirs music program and drama department.

Besides regular/general education students numbering approximately 1400 students Concord High has about 200 special needs children including deaf and hard-of-hearing students who receive an education appropriate to their abilities. All are taught that they are valuable and worthwhile young people and are encouraged to do their best as they learn among the other students.

i am a sophmore at this high school and enjoy it very much. I am Heavily involved in the music program and love it. concord high school has some awesome teachers and some terrible teachers. But the blackest cloud that hangs over concord high school is the budget crisis in the district that had devastated our school like many others in the district. it is unacceptable and extremly disconcerting. i hope that it will be solved as soon as possible before the great teachers staff and students decide to leave for another district with more money.

Excellent school!! I am a freshman. This school may have a bad rep. around town but you can't judge a book by its cover or by gossip. I love the environment and the great staff.

Great school! Strong teachers and leadership who care about the students. The music department is outstanding thanks to Gary Coartney director of bands. Wouldn't sent my kids anywhere else.

I currently attend concord high and so far I think that the school like many others- has its ups and downs. Some amazing educators teach there and sadly mrs. Rosenberg has left to teach at another school. She was my favorite teacher out of all my years of being in school but the first time everyone met her we all saw how strict she was and many were fooled into thinking that she would be alot to handle that year- surprisingly enough she turned out to be an amazing person educator and friend to all her students. Also mrs. Bland is a great teacher too. I have not even had a class with her and I know how down to earth she is and still keeps a great reputation. Many other wonderful teachers are mrs. Meyerkorth mrs. Fasman mrs. Harris madame poppas mr. Wisley mr. Williams mrs. Unkovic and many more.

Under the leadership of Dr. Miller CHS is a much better school. He is supports the students teachers and parents. He encourages teachers and parents to communicate. AP classes are wonderful and there are also different programs for students with different learning styles and abilities. The student morale and school spirit has increased tremendously under his leadership. It would be nice to see more parents involved but overall Concord is a great school.

I have nothing but good words to speak of Concord High School. My son has excelled in all of his classes and has a 4.6 and is going to an ivy league school in the fall. Without Concord High and all the fantastic teachers my son would have nothing. Minutemen pride!
