Horrible spending on things the school does not need. A terrible High School Principle who is practically useless and hasn't shown any improvement in the school at all. Needless to say they do not support creativity in the students with little to no freedoms. Overall VERY disappointed in this school system.

Small town small minds and very little for your kids. This school is failing its families and not building leaders. It is a culture that insists on legalistic status-quo "good enough " mentalities and practices. There are few outstanding academic programs declining numbers school board in-fighting/personal agendas and crumbling infrastructure. We believed in this school for 11 years but ultimately concede that this school is failing and we must make alternative decisions for the best interest of our children.

My school allows my daughter to dual enroll and still take high school classes. The teachers care about her and make sure she gets the attention she deserves.

This school is an absolute disaster they have leaks in the roof there is very little student respect for teachers because of there lack of being able to complete there job.. The principal is very far from respectable she bullys students there is Avery high amount of drug and substance abuse in the school disaplinary actions is very minimal. The principle is very disrespectful towards parents insulting there children chastising there children I am disgusted with the way the school is run the way students are treated it is atrocious if I were a parent I would not let my child even walk in to that school

Concord schools in my opinion are a lot better than my last school. They have pretty great people and I'm glad I switched.

This school is absolutely I haven't experienced the amount of drug use anywhere I had ever gone before this. Don't send to your child here if you value their education.

I just stumbled upon this site and was disappointed but not surprised by some of the comments that were made at the time they were made. I noticed that none of the reviews are very current and am interested in seeing if our image has improved. I graduated from Concord my children graduated from Concord and I have been teaching in Concord for over 25 years. I am very proud to be employed by and be a part of the Concord Community Schools and the community. We have had struggles during some of the years I have been here but I am strongly encouraged by the improvements made recently and am looking forward to more achievements and success in the years ahead. Please share your concerns and praises for our system we are hear to listen and to learn! Thanks!

This was once a fantasic school with wonderful students caring teachers and administrators with fore sight to keep the school in high attendance demand & an above the state average on MEAP Scores. Having 2 sons that graduated from Concord in 2002 and 2007 we have seen a tremdous decline in overall values and goals set forth by the current administration & teachers. We maintained an active involvement in our childrens school activities until our youngest graduated in 2007. From 2002 through 2007 the school went through several caring adminstrators & excellant teachers that were either recuited to other schools outside of the district or state or just plain quit due to the current administrator board & principal. If you are lucky enough to be in a position of choosing another school for your children I highly recommend it and your children will thank you later.

In many ways Concord schools have much potential. However this potential is rarely realized except by those students who take it upon themselves to go above and beyond the expectations presented to them. There are some truly steller teachers and there are some that are not. The principals as a rule are quite good. The current superintendent leaves much to be desired. As does the school board for that matter. All in all I feel that a child _can_ have a good education here if they choose to work and can get past the hurdles that are presented.

I am a high school student at Concord I love all of the people here. Our school is one of the best schools in our Big 8. We have the best teaching staff because they know and care about the students. Our academic program is one of the best becouse they let us choose our own class.

Concord has a poor rating when it comes to certain sports and putting girls on them.Like if your not skinny you won't be able to do cheerleading. It took my mom 6 almost 7 years before my mom got me into special ed.Because Concord doesnt care about they're students.

My son attends the high school and I have had nothing but problems with the schools since 6th grade. He has struggled with school for a long time. I have hired a tutor to help him because the school couldn't help me. He is still having academic problems. He can't go into a special class to receive the help he needs because he doesn't qualify but he isn't getting what he needs from the school either. I am now faced with - what do I do now and where do I go to get help for my child. I am very unhappy with the education that my child receives from Concord Schools.

I believe Concord High School has a lot of potentinal to excel in this state. The Math program at Concord is something to be desired though. Both of my girls have had problems with math and don't find any help with the teachers that are there. I am not sure how to help them except to get them a tutor so they can excel when they go off to college. The town is great I was an outsider but have become friends with many people in Concord. If if you give the town a chance it can be a wonderful opportunity.

Concord has problems with favoring certain kids who have well known last names in the community. They run by treating the kids who have certain last names nice and the other kids unfairly. The academics are terrible and the teachers play favortism with certain students. If you are just moving in the community I suggest having your child attend the CSO instead of the high school. The CSO is an alternative school in Concord were no favortism is played and the kids have a better chance of making it in the real world.
