California Standards Test (CST)

In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

My daughter attended Harada for one year and I was very impressed with the staff at Harada. Her teacher kept me informed and was very easy to get in contact with. She worked very hard to make sure that learning activities were engaging to the students and she had high expectations. The school provides students with a wealth of extracurricular activities such as school plays 100 miles club math field day etc. They also had many school spirit activities that kept school excites yet didn't take away from learning. My daughter did not want to miss a day at Harada! The only complaint I have is that the office staff was always very grumpy and seemed to not know what was going on at the school. I always felt very unwelcome in the office. Fortunately the rest of the staff was fantastic!

Very unhappy with this school. There is very little leadership by the principle. If you have any issue with your teacher you are on your own. There is no coordination/team work among grade level teacher. There are few good teachers but most seem like they are not happy to be there.

The teachers are dedicated to their children. The environment makes a child safe and want to learn. I am happy my child is here!

THis school is higher than my expectations. The teachers there are wonderful and they care. The principal is awesome could not be better.

Harada PTA provides the Art Masters program each year to students. There is a instrument class for 5th and 6th graders.

There isn't any music or art programs. The school is very nice brand new.
