June 19

Zillow and the Newspaper Consortium kick off their partnership as two of 282 TNC newspapers begin implementing the classified ad, content, and data agreement.

June 18

Borrowers submit 43,000 loan requests on Zillow Mortgage Marketplace, and 2,800 lenders respond with 200,000 loan quotes.

June 17

2.5 million homes are listed for sale on Zillow.

June 5

Zillow launches comprehensive, interactive mortgage rate charts on Zillow Mortgage Marketplace.

May 6

Zillow wins top Webby Award in real estate category.

Zillow wins Webware Award in Commerce & Events category.

Zillow Mortgage Marketplace launches, where borrowers and lenders come together in an open, anonymous, and free marketplace.

100,000 Make Me Move homes are posted on Zillow.

Zillow launches a new dynamic search and map-based technology called Zillow® Smart Search.

500,000 homes have been posted for sale on Zillow.

The Zillow Listings Feed program launches, which allows brokerages and Web vendors to feed their for-sale listings to Zillow.

November 13

Zillow forms an online real estate partnership with 11 newspaper publishing companies, representing 282 newspapers nationwide.

October 30

Zillow launches Zillow Home Direct Ads, a suite of tools that enables advertisers to target ads specifically to any one of the millions of homes on Zillow.

Zillow is a "Gold Award Winner in the W3 Awards, which honors creative excellence on the Web.

Zillow raises an additional $30 million in Series C funding.

Zillow is the featured cover story on Fortune Magazine.

Zillow turns 1 year old! In just one year's time, Zillow provides anyone the ability to get a starting point Zestimate® home valuation, to post any home in the U.S. for sale, and to set a Make Me Move® price — all for free!

Our unique and fun Make Me Move feature hits the 10,000 mark in homes that have a MMM price. An average of 345 owners per day have added a Make Me Move price to their home since the MMM tool launched.

2006

December 10

28 million unique homes have been viewed on Zillow.

December 6

With a virtual roar, Zillow President Lloyd Frink announces, "We're Opening It Up!" This release, known internally as Z4, gives agents and owners the ability to post any home in the U.S. for sale and homeowners can set a Make Me Move price — all of this for free! Not to be forgotten, the Zillow® Real Estate Guide launches with more than 200 articles.

November 14

Zillow, only 9 months old, is named one of AdvertisingAge's 2006 "Marketing 50," which honors products that "broke through the clutter and delivered real impact." The list includes heavy hitters such as Dunkin' Donuts, Xbox 360, Gatorade, Visa, Comcast, and Verizon Wireless.

October 26

Zillow launches its Open API, allowing any Web site to add Zillow data and functionality.

October 11

In nearly one month's time, 100,000 homes are claimed on Zillow.

September 23

We don't know who they are or where they're from, but the 25-millionth person visits Zillow. We'd like to think that virtual balloons fell from the sky and music was piped in to welcome this person.

September 19

Z2 launches, allowing homeowners to claim their homes and edit their home facts in the Zillow database. This is Zillow's entry into the Web 2.0 read-write functionality.

August 21

Less than 7 months old, Zillow hires its 100th employee.

August 14

Wrestling zillions of data points to the ground, Dr. Stan and his analytics team release our first Quarterly Home Value Report, which provides snapshots of housing trends in several markets.

TIME Magazine names Zillow one of its 50 Coolest Websites, defined as "shining examples of Web 2.0: next-generation sites offering dynamic new ways to inform and entertain, sites with cutting-edge tools to create, consume, share or discuss all manners of media, from blog posts to video clips."

Zillow Mobile launches, allowing anyone with a mobile phone or handheld device to get a Zestimate and basic facts about a home after entering an address into their device.

Yahoo! Real Estate and Yahoo! Search form a partnership with Zillow to add Zestimates and other Zillow data to its Web site.

Zillow's blog team launches the Carnival of Real Estate with the goal to foster community among real estate bloggers.

Zillow's wildly popular City Heat Maps launch, which are a real estate version of "Hot or Not."

Our first edition of Famous Homes goes live, reacquainting ourselves with famous mansions (Beverly Hillbillies, Playboy) and regular ol' homes (Brady Bunch, Happy Days) among many others. Famous Scary Homes follow in October.

Bird's Eye Views were added to many areas of the country alongside home details and Zestimates, providing 3D-like, high-resolution aerial images of homes.

March 29

The Zillow Home Report e-mail launches, providing subscribers with the ability to track up to 25 homes at a time on a monthly basis.

February 10

Online for only two days, Zillow welcomes its millionth visitor.
