What I Love About My House

David Beitel — My favorite thing about our house is the location. We live within easy walking distance of three playgrounds as well as the Arboretum. Two neighbor families are our best friends and they both have kids exactly our kids' ages. Our house is on a double lot, so our backyard is spacious for a city lot. In the summer, it's our living room. The brick patio is perfect for our kids to play on and for us to host parties. The backyard has become our mini soccer, baseball and football fields. Our house is very colorful — the kitchen is lavender, the dining room is raspberry and our bedroom is orange. We may have a lot of gray days outside, but never in our house.
