What I Love About My House

Liam Lavery — I love how our home reflects and invites our extended family. Carpets from India cover the wood floors, recalling visits to and from our Indian relatives in Bangalore, Vishakhapatnam, and Nagpur. The kitchen is full of bright Mexican tile, art and dishes, gifts from our family in Mexico City. My children's rooms are filled with artwork done by my sister, Liesl, who is a professional artist and muralist in Chicago. And the remodeled basement gives my Michigan parents a nice place to stay whenever they want.
