California Standards Test (CST)

In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

If joe hamilton is such a great school why is there idea of dealing with specail needs children to send them home because specail needs is too needy. This schools overall performance is terable they are so concerned about the ublic outlook of the school they don't care about individual situations I would recomend not enrolling your student unless they are above and beyand their grade level or they will fall behind as the teachers don't care to provide that extra little omf to specail needs children 2 students ar the victims of this schools neglect on education they just turned 5 what kind of education system isn't equiped for 5 year olds with specail needs? I've been in coleges with classes for adults with a mental capasity of a 2nd grader this is this current school year 2013 - 2014

by next year this school is either required to become a charter school or fire ALL the staff. This school has failed for 4 years straight. No they don't address the bullying issue. nothing has happenned to the bullies that harrass my child including the one that has threatened my childs life because my son told on him for bringing alcohol to school.my son will be transfering as soon as possible to another school. I honestly wouldnt be surprised if most of the positive reviews are made by staffers friends that have children going to that school.

Joe Hamilton is a school that goes above and beyond! My child has ADHD and the staff has made going to school and learning a great environment for children with all sorts of different learning disabilities. The IEP meetings keep you up to date on your child's progress and future goals. The staff at Joe Hamilton is friendly and strive to make all things possible for all the children who attend. Bullying is a problem at all schools these days and Joe Hamilton has a no bullying policy and do stay on top of it. My child has been bullied and was also apologized to by that bully because of the efforts of the staff to keep it under control. That bully was also suspended because of their actions. The school can only do so much but parents have a role also to teach their children how to treat others. I say way to go Joe Hamilton! Keep up the good work!

Joe Hamilton has the most dedicated staff and the best administrator in the area. Students are supported and challenged to strive for excellence. We also have the smallest class sizes in the district.

Joe Hamilton is a school where staff encourage children to strive for excellence. Staff and parents work together through the School Site Council to find new ways to encourage kids everyday as well as sharing ideas to increase safety for all students.

It seems the security at the school is lacking at least at times.
