Gateway/End-of-Course (GT/EOC)

In 2011-2012 Tennessee used the Gateway/End-of-Course (EOC) exams to test high school students in language arts, math, science and social studies upon completion of relevant courses. This year they introduced two new exams in algebra II and English III. Students must pass the algebra I, English II and biology I tests, called the Gateway exams, in order to graduate. The Gateway/EOC exams are standards-based tests that measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined by the state of Tennessee. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.

My son was having problems at his other school. It was a fight to get him to go everyday. He loves The Phoenix and is anxious to go plus enjoys the food so much better. It's a better pace for him to learn at with not all the hustle and bustle so he can concentrate.

The phoenix school is run by Coach Rock. . .Coach helped me get my life on track and really helped me out by letting me attend the phoenix school. . .instead of treating you like kindergardeners they treat you like exactly what you are. . .young adults. . .it helped me to be in this atmosphere where i wasn't just a statistic but a person. . .and it is a great program that needs to be praised much more than it is.

This school is a great school! I wasnt going to graduate on time but this school helped me get through that. I love this school. The teachers are great and the students are also. I would recommend this school for your junior high schooler if they arent going to graduate on time!
