Wonderful school - projects family game nights and curriculum nights and wonderful teachers. Teachers here have experience and very low turn around.

While some teachers have the utmost patience for the kids the others need to learn more patience and understanding

My daughter went to Deer Creek from k-6th grade and my son has gone from K-present (2nd grade) Until this year things have been really good. After talking with several teachers I feel their morale is slipping from the pressure of the TAKS test. They still enjoy the children but feel they are not able to teach but more memorization of the TAKS test. I'm sure this is a feeling for most teachers in the state.

I am a grandparent of a Pre-K child and like to keep up with what is going on in her school. I am impressed with her teachers and the school at large.

We moved to this area a couple of years ago and this is an awesome school from the Principle to the Teachers that teach to the Teachers that monitor the parking lot to the OFFICE Staff to the Cafeteria workers they have always presented themselves professional and kind and have always tended to our needs and concerns

My son goes to deer creek and i personally have never had any problems with anyone. The office staff has always been very pleasant to deal with. Mrs.Grady/mrs. Wendell are the two most awesome teachers i have ever met. They have taught my son so much and has brought him along ways from were he was. I can't say anything bad about the school . Thanks

Deer Creek Elementary is a great place to learn. The faculy is caring and compassionate. The teachers make learning fun. In kindergarten the students learn to read with confidence. The staff welcomes parents at the school. There are many volunteer opportunites. If a student is behind in reading one-on-one tutoring is available. If your child is gifted there is a gifted program each week.

Overall a terrific school in a great district. Deer Creek has a good demographic mix of incomes and ethnicity both in the students and on the staff. Every teacher is exemplary in his or her own way and the principal is extremely effective--firm but loving. My only complaint is that the library is rather small with relatively few books for 4th-6th graders thus limiting those grades' participation in the Accelerated Reader program.

Deer Creek teachers for the most part go the extra mile for the students. They attend soccer baseball games and birthday parties of their students. They don't mind talking to parents at restaurants and grocery stores. I even had a teacher come to the house and hand deliver an important paper. The teachers are extraordernary. The office staff is severely lacking in the area of friendly service. They don't even want to be bothered to relay a message. Teachers have been asked to do several secretarial jobs even though a third person and aides were hired to help. Office staff will not work a minute over their work time and teachers have been seen at school on their own time up till 10 00 at night. Teachers at Deer Creek are respected by students and parents because they prove by attitude and deeds that they are here for the kids!

I have had 2 children attend Deer Creek several years ago the school teachers and staff were AWESOME! Now you feel like you are an unwelcome guest and they make it very clear you are not wanted here! They had tables for rewarding children at lunch and they took them away because parents were coming to eat with their kids. There really was no place at the kids table because they have assigned seats. The office staff act like you are bothering them and make it clear they would rather keep chatting than assist you. One lady is pretty helpful her name is Patrice. The others have personal things to do and act like they are the principal. The principal when she is there is not very welcoming to parents either. The teachers however are the best!

Awesome caring inspiring hardworking friendly dedecated Teachers! Lousy lazy rude uncaring office staff! The custodians are helpful and nice. They even help the little ones empty their trays at lunch. If the office staff attitudes were replaced with teachers attitudes what a spectacular school this would be. Fortunately the kids are with the teachers all day not the office staff!

Deer creek has a lot of lazy staff members this includes the office and the cafeteria staff members. If you need to relay a message to your child good luck you better hand deliver it or chances of them getting it are slim to none. The only other downfall is that this school has over crowded the classes that is accepting fort worth kids.Is this not crowley isd? It will take a good 35 to 40 minutes just to pick up your child after school. If you try to get out of your vehicle and get your child be prepared to get yelled at by the rude staff members with parking lot duty.My overall opinion is if the staff would learn manners and they would stop the extra transfer students from attending deer creek it would be a little more tolerable.

I also have to agree with the lady in the first review. On several occassions I was at the end of the bad adittude. Plus the fact when the principal and asst. principal have said the would get back to on a situation and they never do. That is why I have choosen to take my child somewhere else. But the teacher we had last year was great.

I love Deer Creek. I think the school and the curriculum is great. However the two ladies in the office do have attitude problems. I understand bad days (as another said in a review) If that is the case they must have bad days almost every day. The newest secretary in the office especially! I have called to have a message relayed also she acted as if I was putting her out. Other than that I love the school and teachers. They are great!

I absolutely love Deer Creek. I was a student there from K-6th and now my daughter is a student. However I have to agree with the first review. The office staff is often very rude and uncaring. But it's totally worth putting up with for such an outstanding acedemic environment for my child. I couldn't ask for more from Deer Creek.

I would like to give my comment and respond to the 1st comment. My child attended Deer Creek from the age of 2-10. I was extremely pleased with the quality of my daughter's education not to mention the 'family-like' atmosphere. I appreciate them for building my daughter's confidence and also giving her the foundation to be a strong student. In response to the parent w/ the negative comment We all have bad days and it is unfair to comment about an entire school based on your perception of 1 person's response to you. You should feel blessed to have your child in such a caring environment.

when I called to relate a message to my son that I was not able to make it to eat lunch with him the lady in the office said she would relay the message if she saw someone. to me this shows a lot of disregard for a young child's feelings. I have sensed a very cold attitude in the office and not one of concern
