Mississippi Curriculum Test (MCT)

In 2012-2013 Mississippi used the Mississippi Curriculum Test, 2nd Edition (MCT2) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in language arts and math. The MCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Mississippi. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the test.

Don't move to this area if you have school age children! The more I hope this school gets better the worse it tends to get! There is very little parent involvement and it really isn't encouraged! They are behind in nearly every way can't email a teacher or set up a meeting easily unless you invite yourself in. They are disorganized and unlikely to change! I have one suggestion for teachers if the School wont have a page that makes it easy to get missed work or an easy way to contact you make a facebook page for the entire grade if not JUST for your class ....The ONLY reason they got any stars is because I know most of the Teachers are trying.

I think they deserve a 2. The school needs a lot of work the teachers are too busy on their cell phones and just don't teach the way they used to. You can't give a child work and expect them to know how to do it. Stop jumping on different subjects; let the child learn one thing at a time not a new lesson a day.

Absolutely wonderful K-3 school. There are lots of private schools in our area but for the quality of teacher and education received CSE gets 5 star rating from me and my family. (The high school in Crystal Springs is a different story though.)
