Cuba High School has some benefits such as the Band program which is outstanding but school does uplift it's sports programs which only benefits a few and leaves some of the arts behind. My child is ADHD/Gifted/LD and was extremely left behind because of lack of funding to the school. Schools Special Education department didn't know most latest techniques and modifications to support 504 plan for the disabled for gifted or ADHD children (which benefits 11% of school aged children or teens). My son had two IEP meetings where I left in tears and was extremely hurt which should never be for the parent who is trying to be an advocate for their child. My child loved school and went during summers up until 7th grade learning was fascinating to him; however it also frustrated him because I believed he had a learning disability with writing (dysgraphia) plus the added inability to do executive functioning. He became bored and involved with inappropriate behavior which in turn became problematic and therefore he dropped out in the last 3 months of his senior year fortunately he received his GED before even the school year ended but did average on his test score for English.
