The new principal has made a lot of positive changes and has added many after school enrichment clubs. She brought AVID to our school and stresses the importance of character counts. She ensures ALL students are treated with respect.

My daughter has been attending this school since kinder and every year it has improved. Especially this past year with the new principal she has made a lot of positive changes. One of them is recruiting community involvement and creating initiatives to help enrich student learning. She brought the AVID program and added after school enrichment clubs. She has helped the school in many ways like applying for grants to improve the school. The community has provided donations of school supplies and beautfication projects inside and outside of the school by volunteers and the help of Lowes. I can't wait to learn about all the new programs and clubs for this upcoming year.
This school has changed alot. Information is sent home at the last minute. Whenever I try to meet with the principal she is never available when I did meet with her she kept going off topic talking about her teachers. My daughter is always coming home telling me about bad kids. This takes away from her learning. My kids will not be returning to this school.
I think the teachers and staff of the special education classes are excellent . The general ed students are very inclusive with the special ed children. The teachers and ta's lead by example.
Although it does seem to be a very good school the students are treated with lack of respect especially the children in special education classes not only the teachers but by all other staff members.
This school is a really good school. My daughter is really doing good thanks to her Pre K teacher Ms. Yanez.
The student-teacher ratio is very unbalanced. many of the teachers seem disinterested in the success of the students. Too much homwork for the second and third graders with assignments even myself as an adult find confusing.
This is an outstanding school. Every year the parents are becoming more and more involved.
Not very safe....as a former CPS worker I walked the halls frequently to remove kids from school and sometimes I would not be asked where I am going or what I am doing removing a kid from school. Many times this is done without having a badge or identification on. Lots of kids bussed into this school as well.
Pretty good for a public school. My two daughters went there from kindergarden to 3rd grade. The number of students per class was pretty high and they gave WAY too much homework to the 2nd and 3rd graders.
