My grandmother graduated here in 1917 my Mom in 1942 and myself in 1973. My four children graduated from Danvers High also. We all turned out great I'm a Doctor and I know other professionals and business leaders as a result of DHS. They are building a new facility now 2011 and it's plans are amazing. I would recommend Danvers High School for a quality education in a wonderful town north of Boston. Sincerely Dr. Barron ~ Class of '73

I have had 3 children attend DHS and have been very happy with the quality of education that my children have received. Each of my children have been exclusively in both Honors and AP-level courses and I believe that my children have been and are challenged and able to achieve.

Danvers High School seems to be a good school for the middle of the road (academically) student. If you or your child is bright the Honors classes in grade 9 & 10 are very watered down to meet the needs of students who should not be in the classes. Many teachers do not have control over the students in class and allow unacceptable behavior to occur at the detrimant of the student causing the behavior as well as to those who want to learn. Music Art and sports are all high priorities to the school and DHS has very good programs.

The academic programs aren't too but but there is always room for improvement. The DHS marching band is very good. Sports were great this year. The school needs impovement. Needs a new ventalation system and air conditioning. From a highschoolers perspective....its horrible.
