After living in different parts of the country I have to say this high school is really top-notch. The test scores are consistently among the best in the state the teachers are experienced and the academic offerings are outstanding. For the extras sports music drama are all award-winning. Facilities are also nice from the Mel Bay Music Center to the new track football and baseball fields. Great stuff all around.

I recently grduated DeSoto High School. I have been enrolled in the DeSoto District since kindergarten. The high school provided many students and myself with numerous opportunities to be involved in extra cirricular activiteis which also let me get a closer look at other schools than most students would. I can honestly say that I believe the DeSoto School District is one of the best. I was never in a crowded class room like many schools are which allowed every student to get plenty of one on one time with the teacher. The staff is also extremely helpful. With such a great staff the DeSoto school district has recieved wonderful scores on state required test in all subjects. Not only does the school have a good cirriculum set up but is small enough to be comfortable and familiar with everyone but big enough to not be the 'little guy'.
