Craftsman Front Entry
This was completely new entry way to a beautiful old house. The old entry had too many steps, which we eliminated by making a new pathway through an old hedge.
Cutting a pathway through the existing hedge was the most direct way to reduce the number of steps to the front door.
The old entry had a narrow concrete path, and a secondary brick walk to the parking area.
This new railing is more subatantial, befitting the craftsman house and is tall enought to meet code.
The new landing is now wide, and gracious.
Klinker Brick and bluestone create a rich texture and look as if they were done long ago, yet are a contemporary today as ever.
The pathway to the back yard is now the secondary path, and the old walk down to the corner of the lot has been removed.
Salvaged lights and floral details to the metalwork fits nicely with the brick and bluestone paving
