I am a true Norman native having attended pre-school all the way to receiving a BBA in Finance at the University of Oklahoma. I am deeply rooted in the community through family, friends and many other activities. Prior to entering real estate, I traveled to many major cities across the nation as a software representative. Norman Board of Realtor activities include: Chairman of Public Relations Committee (2003-2004), Chairman of Fair Housing and Education (2006-2008), Board of Directors for the Associated Multi List of Norman (2003-2008), Board of Directors for the Norman Board of Realtors (2008-present), recipient of the 2003 Horizon Award and 2010 Realtor of the Year . I rarely miss Sooner football and enjoy spending time with family.
Norman has too many high points to list them all but here's a few: University of Oklahoma (sports, museums, arts, dance etc.), school system in general, Jazz, Arts & Medieval Festivals, excellent restaurants, 5 minutes to Lake Thunderbird, 20 minutes to Okla. City airport and Bricktown.
I always recommend that buyers get pre-approved at a good lending institution. It doesn't take that long and that question will come up. Sellers are more likely to be flexible if you have done so. Many times it can be done over the phone. Sellers will want to Clean! Clean! Clean! More than you've ever cleaned before….seriously. Remove all clutter. If you don't need it sitting out…put it up in a drawer or shelf. Take care of smells you don't even realize exist. Fix the things that you've been meaning to fix. Serious buyers notice more than you realize.
