Comfort Trumps Opulence
My bride loves the sanctuary of a comfortable bath. It needn't be opulent, only comfortable. We have recently relocated as we approach retirement age and we have been looking at houses. All of them have made her uncomfortable to one degree or another. So this little gallery is an attempt to illustrate to her how small changes might be made for comfort's sake. Take the master bathroom, for example. My beloved likes to take baths occasionally, but when the air to get chilly it makes her uncomfortable. In our previous home there was a whirlpool tub in the master bath and it was out in the open. There was a separate glass-enclosed shower. My beloved, when she wanted to take a bath, would use the tub in the tiny upstairs bathroom because she could keep the air warmer there and the draftiness down. She chose comfort over opulence. In our next house I intend that the tub and shower will be housed together in one glass enclosure, that will also contain an auxiliary heat source.
