Rod Creason is a fifth generation native Californian and 25 year Peninsula resident, who holds not only the rare distinction of being a native, but also of being married to a fourth generation native Palo Altan. In a quest to continue the tradition, Rod is raising his family in Palo Alto as well. The oldest of his three daughters graduated from Jordan Middle School, Palo Alto High School and Duke University, and his youngest two daughters were born in Palo Alto and are attending school in the district! Rod and his family live in Palo Alto where they enjoy bicycling, walking, and frequenting the many Palo Alto attractions, such as the Children's Museum and Mitchell Park.
Rod's professional background includes over 20 years of leadership and executive management of Bay Area companies, negotiating multi-million dollar contracts with key customers and motivating large teams toward successfully meeting their goals. Rod was recognized by Sun Microsystems' Communications Area sales team for Outstanding Leadership. Rod holds 5 patents for blade server technologies.
In addition to his career in corporate management Rod has been buying and selling real estate for nearly 20 years, including residential & rental property. He has bought and sold during the hottest markets, learning what it takes to be a successful bidder (buyer), as well as during the down markets, discovering what it takes to sell a house when there are few buyers to be found.
Rod has extensive experience in listing and selling distressed properties and has a fantastic track record in negotiating short sales with banks. Other Realtors refer short sale business to Rod because of his expertise and skills.
Rod holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California at Davis, is an avid golfer, and loves SCUBA diving when his schedule allows.
