YOU CAN COUNT ON TAYATaya has spent almost 30 years selling real estate and has been recognized as one of the top 1% of agents nationwide. Over the years she has found that what she enjoys most is working with buyers to help them find the right home at the right price in the right location. Sometimes this takes days, sometimes months or even years. But it is worth it. Witnessing a homeowner receive the keys to their new home is one of her greatest joys. Whether the buyer is a first-time buyer, a move-up buyer or a retired buyer who is downsizing, Taya has a gift for listening to buyers' needs and then working with them to get what they want on their terms and timeline.
Working with sellers has been Taya's specialty for most of her career, and her association with a RE/MAX office in both Oxford, Ohio and in Brookville, Indiana allows her to offer seamless service to her clients on both sides of the state line. One of Taya's greatest strengths when working with sellers is her ability to put her clients in the driver's seat when negotiating an offer.
Taya is a member of the Twin Forks Chapter of the DAR, the Brookville Women's Club, RAINN's Speaker Bureau for victims of abuse and is a participant in the Women's Collaborative and Empowerment Model for Writing and Publishing. Taya is a member of the Hamilton Fairfield Oxford Board of Realtors, the Southeastern Indiana MLS, the Cincinnati MLS and the Indiana Association of Realtors.
PUTTING PEOPLE FIRST.
Taya Abbott has a background unlike most real estate agents, or anyone else you probably know for that matter. She was born and raised in Northern Indiana, spending the first eight years of her life living in the County Jail. Her Dad was the Sheriff and Taya spent her formative years getting to know the prisoners and their families. Taya also loved listening to the stories shared by police and other law enforcement officials as they gathered around her kitchen table for coffee at any time of day or night. It was during those early years that Taya learned to appreciate people of all backgrounds and stations in life. She also learned to listen to the concerns of others; developing a need to help when she could. Real estate allows her to do both and she loves it. Taya continues to share her home with strangers while living in a bed and breakfast with her husband, Keith, in Brookville, Indiana.
