@user2696807 - Wow! That would be fantastic! The door is actually made from antique light switches so you could just make sure they were wired and voila!

If its a window, maybe double-set the stained glass against clear window glass and set lights between them, that way you can turn them on to add the effect if you have a party/event after sundown.
