The original 1890's oak fire place and trim inspired our client during the renovation of the entire condo. While accommodating an active urban lifestyle, the owners felt it necessary to preserve the historical character the building. The clean and simple lines of chosen furnishings balanced the intricate details of the mill work while respecting the proportions of the home.

  • The rennovation was constructed on a very tight budget. Salvaged stone, vintage doors and lighting, concrete tiles and IKEA cabinetry were carefully organized to maximize space and function.

Our project:
A 1,000 sq. ft. greystone condo in Chicago tucked into one of the cities most boisterous neighborhoods. The original 1890's details, including an oak mantle and a stained glass window were the driving elements of the remodel. The end result was a marriage between the charming tradition of the building and modern updates that accommodated our client's urban lifestyle.
