I didn't notice the chandelier right away. I like the table, I heard something that wood can be made grey colored by using a steel wool and vinegar solution. That would look tight.

  • The Sausalito Residence is a reverse-plan hillside house, with the entrance level at the top. The challenge of entering a home at a level different from the main living space is addressed by bringing living space up into the entry hall, with a front door entry through a bridge over a double-height foyer. When viewed from the living space, the stair profile is allowed to show itself in pure sculptural form through a glass: steel screen that functions as guardrail and visual feature.

The master bath, opening directly onto the bedroom, also faces directly onto the ocean. The hand-finished white oak floor creates a pleasing contrast with the full-length slabs of Bianco Spina marble used for the bathtub, shower area, and countertops. The bathtub itself is elevated on a platform.
