I love CTE its amazing. My child just moved and she loves it. the have a great staff.I heard that the principle often raises his voice to students who disobey but other than that its great. this school has high academic programs and uses a lot of tech. I think its great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My child loves CTE! He has had great success and is treated equelly to the other children! Every teacher cares about their students and goes above and beyond to ensure their success!

I have a child at CTE. He loves it there and so do I. I went to a large school and I still don't know half the people that I graduated with. I am envolved with the PTO and wish that more parents and teachers and staff would be more envolved it PTO also. But I love the teachers and all of the staff.

Now that school is almost out and my child is moving on to High School I can be frank. Compared to Diamond Hill Elementary Cherokee Trails is a joke. The test scores are fine and techers for the most part are good but the overall atmosphere is horrible. Children are imtimidated and bullied by staff and there is no parental involvement encouraged. Even the so called PTO is predominately controlled by staff. And for the Awards...ever school in Abbeville System is a Palmetto Award winner. I am just thankful that I can finally put Cherokee Trails in my rear view mirror and pity the remaining children there.

I feel that our school is a great place for children to learn. Concerning parent involvement I feel that as a parent my job is to send my child to school disciplined with needed supplies and ready to learn. The teachers of my children are always very involved in helping us help our children. They are there when I need them and truly love what they have chosen to do for a profession. Parents and community memebers need to remember to support the educational process! We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful learning environment for our future leaders where teachers know the students and their families.

I find the teachers to be caring and competent. However I agree that there is entirely too much intimidation and verbal assaults at elementary aged children there. There is no question that Admin does not want parents in the school and discourage parental involvement. The academics do seem strong but there does need to be changes discipline methods. I would like to see the Admin split up and moved to other schools.

I think this school is the best in the district! We have great adminstrational staff! They support the students and teachers. This shows up in the awards of Palmetto Silver award for 2 years.

There are some extremely loving caring and competent teachers on staff there. The weak link is in the administration. Discipline consists of screaming yelling and verbal humiliation of the kids until they are in tears. Administration is aware just doesn t take corrective action. The problem has been taken as far as the district level with no resolve. The teachers are the backbone and do an excellent job.

my son is in the first grade and the parent and teacher involvement is nil.the teacher does not involve the parents in anything of your childs progress except when you pick up the report card and then she will rush you out or just say he is doing okay.the school as a whole does not like for the parents to come in the school unless it is for a fundraiser and the family fun night is a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!
