In overall it's a Great School. The ISOL teacher have to many student in one class and that affect the student who really what to learn and do their job.

The school has better administration and faculty and staff. This school was an "A" school for 10 years and it has an Adgriscience program which you could become a vet or a doctor.

I used to go to this school. Now it really sucks. It's not Doral Middle School anymore. They had an excellent Agriscience program and exceptional language classes but all the elective teachers may get fired. Also a couple of the math/ reading/ science/ Civics/ History/ Geography teachers are great but most aren't that good.

I am the parent of a 7th grader and so far I am very happy with DMS. The teachers have been excellent. They really care about the students. You can e-mail them and they respond usually in the same day. The academic programs are great - there are Advanced classes Gifted Cambridge and Gifted Cambridge. The administration is available if you need to speak to them. When you call the school and leave a message for an administrator they always call back or e-mail back. If you want to get involved with the PTA you can and they keep you informed of activites happening in the school that you can participate in. The Field Trips are minimal and meant only for the students who behaved well or have good grades. That's good because it doesn't take away too much time from academics.

All the good teachers have left DMS. Cedeno Ugarte D'Arce and Pacheco are gone. Schools is going to be lonely and dull. Who will be there for students now. No activities or caring interesting teachers. Makes me sad.

As a parent I am very concerned about my children education. I believe that most of the parent reviews focus on what the school gives to the kids and the children reviews are mixed always stating that there is a good teacher some where. I am involved in my children s education and every time I have asked to talk to a teacher in the most part they are concerned and preoccupied about the student. As always in every profession there is a black ship that does not care about anything and I have seen it personally. When parent involvement is present the reviews are usually good and I read all of them.

Excelent school improving each year. No school is perfect but they really do a great job. It is an A school the music program and Cambridge program are very good!

I agree with the other parents. I am not happy with the school. Changing a childs schedule in the middle of a semester is absurd. This is interrupting learning & also diminishes their motivation. They are in the class like their teacher & use to their schedule. They do this to try to fix their mistakes from the beginning of the year. They need to get it right the first time. No one cares whats best for the child. Plus the new teachers don't have a clue what the child had done the first half of the quarter. The 6th grade vice-principal is extremely rude. The cafeteria workers & the security guards can't speak english? What good is that? Also why must they change the uniform each year. Some parents aren't as priviledged as others to afford all new uniforms every year & there is only 1 option? Come on....

Doral is truly a great school amongst the schools of Dade County. The teachers have managed to maintain great FCAT scores for about 5 years or more. They have also manage to show Dade County that students who are mostly immigrants can perform at high standards with little help Dade County provides. My niece is happy. The Principal is also great. I do have one issue. I wish she would change the uniform and drop the ties. The boys look really scary with those half-hanging ties and it takes away from the discipline the school has. I think that if you wear a tie you should wear it right and not in an ugly fashion as it is done currently. Arriba Doral Middle School. Abajo con Chavez!

This school is great. I am in the 7th grade in gifted and my teachers are great. My civics teacher can be a pushover sometimes but he teaches great so everyone can understand. My language arts teacher can have her mood swings but she is really experienced and knows everything! My science teacher is very strict but if u get him on his good side he's really nice and he is very great at teaching. My algebra 1 teacher can give alot of homework but she understands everything and knows how to teach great. my band teacher is very talented and can really understand any type of music. his jazz band symphonic and orquestra is extreamly good. if you have a chance go to this school!

I love my school.I have so much fun and also learn too.Everybody in the school is very friendly and fun.Im an 8th grader there.

I'm in 7th grade this year and I think this school is okay! My teachers are really helpful. Mr.Cedeno is awesome in civics. Ms.binetts class is super fun. Ms.lee helps soo much in language arts. Ms.caponianco actually teaches math fun and easy to learn. Portugese is really fun and in Ms.Cuevas class is super fun and I can actually learn something in her science class! The only thing is that they are really strict with attendance. In this school u can actually learn something and the activites are really fun they should have more though!

But the more advanced teachers are good. Mr. Varon is the best Science teacher in the school. He is motivated and really friendly. So is Ms. Tia.

I am in 7th grade at this school in the Gifted Cambridge program and a member of the Orchestra. Ms. Tia is one of the most motivated Algebra I teacher in this school because she makes math actually fun. She really knows what she is teaching. She knows when to correct a student in math and that she teaches in general perfect math.

My daughter is in the 7th grade now and i am not loving this school at all. What sense does it make to change a student schedule in the middle of a semester. This is interrupting learning i believe. My daughter based on her grades from last year + her fcat score was suppose to be in advance civics and regular language art. At the beginning of the semester was placed appropriately but right when she was getting comfortable with her classes and a good progress report. The school administration decided to change her schedule and now is very disoriented. I asked for her schedule to be change back no one is doing anything about it. Not a good school. Do not care about students progress.

To tell you the truth DMS was a good school.I been there since the 6th grade but now im in High School and I was not that boring it got kind of fun during the year. The learning is not that good but when it comes to activities its the best. The thing I hated was being too strict about the uniform. The principle..she was all right but all she does is worry about your attendance and uniform. I'll Give this school a 7

Ok well I have attended Doral Middle School for the three years and I can tell you that you don't do anything in that school. And teachers don't try to teach you alot. However there are a couple of good teachers. But you would need a good school to teach on. The principal is a total joke. She only focuses in attendance and nothing else. Now I'm in high school and i'm having a really hard time adapting to what a real school actually demands.

DMS is the worst school in Miami Dade county my daughter was there for only 4 months the teachers just go to work to get their pay check they really don't care about the progress of the kids and they have attitudes toward the parents. Someone should go with a disguise and see what is the problem at that school. because something is not ok.
