the crappiest school ever. period. I truly regret going there too. It's not even worth it

My second child in this school and again I am unimpressed. If this is the best Douglas County School System has to offer maybe its time to make a change in where you live. I know I will be moving my family from the county as quickly as possible. Thank you Douglas County for making me ashamed of my hometown and my decision to return to it to raise my family.

Fairplay is a terrific school! I attended for three years and I loved it! My teachers cared about me and took time to talk to me and help me with my work the principal knew my name and greeted me in the hallway; the kids were nice and I had a lot of friends. Fairplay was large enough that there were a lot of different clubs and after school activities but small enough that I was able to make the sports teams. I am at Georgia Tech now and I know the teachers I had in middle school at Fairplay helped me get here!

I have worked at this school for many years and while like any place we've had our ups and downs I have no qualms in claiming that it is the best school in the county. I have had two children pass through FMS and I've personally seen it through several redistricting phases and administrations. The staff here has always cared about students and their well-being. And now after an amazing renovation and new technology in every classroom it's never been better. I would choose it over home school or private school. Other teachers and administators must agree because every year we teach many of their children. Send your child here. If you don't mind the idea of him/her taking responsibility for his/her own actions and being ready to work you will be pleased.

I moved to the Fairplay district six years ago from an amazing school district in Pittsburgh. Both of my children attended Fairplay for middle school. Moving from the north to rural Georgia honestly I was prepared to be disappointed. But I was so happy to be wrong! We loved Fairplay! Academically Fairplay is very strong. It offers a large variety of gifted classes as well as french and spanish and has an innovative weekly program that allows students to explore different interests and skills. The administration is approachable supportive and from my perspective as a parent very effective. The teachers are wonderful! I have visited many times during the day and in the halls all you see are smiling happy children! I have told many people in the community that if I could send my children to any school in the world for free I would still choose Fairplay. And I mean that! This is a wonderful safe friendly supportive and academically superior community school. Its what you think of when you imagine what you WANT your kids schools to be like! My only regret was that my kids had to move on to high school and we had to leave middle school!

Fairplay is a great school. The teachers are dedicated. The parents are involved. The students are great kids. The administration new. The school has a relaxed but safe atmosphere. The test scores are very good. Middle school is hard and I do not doubt some students have struggled during those years.

The county's best Middle school! Fairplay combines Good Administrative Leadership dedicated teachers and a focus on academics that prepared both of my children for the county's rigorous High School IB Program. Make this your first option when choosing a location for your Middle Schooler.

Fairplay is a phenomenal place. With thousands of students passing through the doors and going through the "changes" that middle school students experience not everyone's experience is going to be great; however this middle school provides the Fairplay Community with teachers who are dedicated and passionate about teaching America's future. Our test scores are evidence of that. I have yet to meet a teacher in this building that wasn't willing to go above and beyond to help a student. When active parents join dedicated and active teachers your student will have no choice but to grow in his/her education.

FairPlay has been fed students from South Douglas elementary and it shows in their good behavior test scores and athletic success. One of the smaller middle schools they always are in the hunt for county championships. My daughter is in the gifted program and has a host of excellent teachers that have motivated her to excel.

Horrible school im a recent student and i had the worst time of my life there. The staff is rude and lazy i barely passed . also a gym teacher was recently arrested and he was a creep he loved being with the girls and was always in the locker room very inappropriate !!!!!!!!!! dont send your child there if you care about them at all .

We are in our second year at this school and I am very pleased with the education that my daughter is receiving. Compared to all the other middle schools in Douglas County this school is by far the best school. The staff have always been nice and never rude. This school does not tolerate bad behavior and will discipline as needed. I have had one issue wih another student and I called and talked with the principle and everything was taken care of. As far as a Christian education goes this school has Wednesday morning fellowship if your child chooses to attend. I feel that my daughter is getting as good or a better education at Fairplay than at a private school. I cannot give this school enough praise and everyone at Fairplay are down home nice country people to you don't see if big city schools.

Great school! We are really happy with The school. We have 5 children and have had our children in many different schools because we've moved alot. Fairplay is a very good school.

The administration at this school is the most disrespectful group of adults I have ever encountered. I would suggest the county look at replacing all of them.

This is school is the worst I have ever had to deal with I would not recommend this school to my worst enemy. The teachers and staff are the rudest individuals I have ever encountered. I can not wait until my oldest child leaves this school and I will look for private education alternatives for my youngest child before I will put him through the ordeal of having to tolerate the individuals at this school.

My son was enrolled from home school to the 6th grade this school year and very disappointed with this school. Needless to say returned to home school promptly. With new staffing and attitudes expressed from teachers/personnel was totally shocking for the most. I tried to not make hasty conclusions but never the less I was correct with my first impressions. I believe its a good school however needs allot of improvement with everyday teaching skills/interaction with grade appropriate children. Too much homework and projects are given from multiple teachers. Just hope your child doesn't miss any school time because no way to make-up without reaching from an outside source for alternative actions to take. You must keep total involvement daily with school in order to track education/behavior. This grade is very tough grade and schools need to reorganize the academic structure in order to succeed with children emotionally and academically.

My son is in the 6th grade at this school. It is suppose t be one of the best schools in Douglas County but I strongly disagree!!!!THe staff and teachers are rude at times. My son is very unhappy i am pulling him from this school and putting him in a christian school. If you are not popular at this school they don't hae time for you.

I liked this school for the most part. However their lunch is not healthy(greasy) and some of their dress code needs to be changed. I do not feel their PE classes are good but they have a great foreign language program.
