Delaware Student Testing Program (DSTP)

In 2008-2009 Delaware used the Delaware Student Testing Program (DSTP) to test students in reading and math in grades 2 through 10, in writing in grades 3 through 10, and in science and social studies in grades 4, 6, 8 and 11. Only the scores for reading and math in grades 2 through 10, writing in grades 3 though 10, and science in grades 8 and 11 are displayed on GreatSchools profiles. The DSTP is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Delaware. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.

This school is HORRIBLE!!! Teachers students...ALL OF IT!! Bullying is an issue with my daughter. She has to worry about getting picked on everyday! I can't wait to get her OUT of there! We are MOVING to a better school district!!!!!!

CMS has a lot to offer the middle school student. There are programs that allow students to earn high school credits in math foreign language and related arts classes. They have a very supportive administration that are available any time that I call. They offer almost as many sports as a high school which allows my daughter to stay active and feel like a member of the school community.

Like this school isn't so bad this is my second year going and I had fun last year. Like there is gonna be fights every school has there moments..... But like this school is good in all seriousness. If anything I was scared to go there but after a few months its not that bad and the teachers are nice.

Central middle school is a horrible place to put a kid! The racism against caucasians is mind blowing and the whole black is better attitude is scary. It is obvious that the kids are running this school. The teachers do really try but spend most of the time trying to restore order to the classrooms. My childs grades have plummeted since going here. He is actually scared of going to school. Where is the authority in this place?

My children attended Central Middle School and had a great experience there. The teachers and administration work very hard for our children and need to be recognized for all of their hard work. More parents should spend time there to see it for themselves as to how things are run. The administration was very helpful and compassionate in dealing with any of our concerns regarding our children.
