This school is the worst school ever. The students get in fights all of the time. The teachers are never teaching or doing what they should be doing. The students are loud out of conrtol and disrespectful. The students do not want to learn which makes the teachers lazy and irresponsible. The principle would never survive in the real business world. He is a terrible communicator and all of the teachers hate him. My older child that goes there now comes home and cries everyday because she hates it so much. My children will definitely not be attending that horrible school. We will defiantly be exploring options.

The Schools Administration is fantastic. I have never been more please with Gettys. The administration has set up a safer enviorment and in results has recently become one of the safest school. I reccomend this school to ANY student or parent

this school has some serious discipline issues. there are physical fights between students yet the administration fails to support the teachers in disciplining these students. It is an unsafe envirmonment. parents should procede with extreme caution.

I have gone to gettys for 2 years now. My first year was ok this year is much better! Our new principals are really trying to get us the things we need and our safety. This year things have really tightened up with students' safety and discipline! I am happy to be a gettys middle school student! Go breakers!

As a very recent student i would say that this school is generally speaking above average. Yes the facilities are in need of repair. However the teachers are among the best in the southeast. They have a genuine interest in the education and welfare of the students. Music sports and higher academic programs are relatively well run and enjoyable. There is an acceptable amount of parent involvement. Personal growth and charecter is emphasized. Personally I would reccomend this school to parents wishing for their son or daughter to have a thorough education and at least a little real world experience.

3 of mine have gone here and each has a different experience. One not so good one very good and one so so. The school is dirty most of the time. A gum wall by the lunch room - my children will NOT use the bathroom at school because of the filth. Average teachers can still give an excellent education if the children are willing. two out of three of mine were well prepared for high school. I was not allowed to have the third held back so he would be better prepared. I was told that that would reflect badly on the school and he needed to move on even though he did not have the education he needed yet. No child left behind! is not for everyone! Dr. Limbald cares more about final numbers on paper than actually educating the kids. More than just the school needs cleaning!

I myself attended Gettys Middle School It is a wonderful school. As a parent I have one concern about the school the sanitation. I voluntered and used a restroom and needless to say it was disturbing. I do not think in any way that this is the custodians problem I believe that it is the students who vandilize their own school. All types of choices are availabile for EC activites. I involve as much a possible with my busy work schedule. Over all Getty's is a great school. I would send my children there any day in a heartbeat.

My own two children attended the school and were taught well. The administration does care about the success of each student. My two children are now professional people in the community. Their education at Gettys Middle provided what they needed to be successful high school and college students. Gettys Middle is a great school!
