The staff at this school could not possibly care more about the students and their success. For a school located in a town where every penny is hard to come by they do a fantastic job of trying to capture as much of the new technology and learning materials that they can with what little money there is to work with.

I feel this is a great school because the staff and principal are caring and want the best for every child at the school. They are approachable and go above and beyond especially if you have a special needs child. I would highly recommend this school to anyone.

My son has been attending Goodwin for 4 years and my daughter for 2 and my family and I think that Goodwin is amazing. My children have done great and are constantly being challanged. The teachers are incredible. They are all so caring and approachable. The principle is very involved and is always around. He knows the students and the parents. And all of the support staff there is amazing and they all work together to ensure that everything runs like it should. I think that Goodwin is the best school in East Hartford by far.

I think Joseph O. Goodwin School is an excellent school. Of course you are going to have a teacher who seems like a lone star; however you can't punish the others who a fantastic! I have two kids in that school and they now have Mrs.Gianni and Mrs. Kowal and they are fabulous. Last year they had Mrs. Oulette and Mrs. Jordan and Gould. At any school I think being involved is they key to knowing what your child is capable of and what the teacher at the time can offer.

I am not happy with the school overall. The school surely lacks in technology. They seemed very concerned about CMT's. Don't let those results fool you. I give the school a grade 2.

In the 3years my son has been attending the school I have enjoyed the relationship the staff have with the children. The principal is very involved in all the activities and the student body. Staff love the children like their own. I know the principal biggest wish is to do away with the tardiness.

In the two years my son has been there I have been very pleased with the leadership in the school. The teachers and all the staff are very pleasant and attentive to the children.
