I believe this school is one of the better ones around in the neighborhood. The teachers and the principals are great and caring for the students.

Because the students and the teacher have beyond just academic connections. The teachers help students with their lives and futures. They are a big factor in keeping a lot of kids on the right track.

ERHS overall is a great learning environment. Especially if your child is seeking individual attention in education. Most teachers love what they do and are there for all the right reasons. It might be the only school where you personally know all the students in your graduating class and teachers. Classmates are more like friends and teachers are more like colleagues. The only thing I do not agree with is the unconsistancy of the disciplinary consequences that the principal and assistant principals distribute to kids who are said to be more 'popular' than to the ones that are not-so popular. For the most part favoring students who excel or have parents and family in the school faculty. Being that this is such a small school this type of situation occurs a lot of the time which i think as a young student is unacceptable and unfair. ERHS is excellent!

I think the ERJSHS is a great place for students to learn. Kids are friendly and there are many activities that help further the child's education. They have some amazing teachers who really want kids to learn. I have found that English and Social Studies teachers at ERHS are very good teachers and really get students excited about learning!

East Rockaway High School has come a long way. They have developed more programs to gear students interests to college degrees and have improved dramatically in the athletic department ove that past ten years. It's a tiny school where all the teachers know all the students names and the administration is a pleasure. They have a great guidance department for students to educate themselves or be educated about certain colleges. They have up to date computer systems to show students how to succeed in a technological society. Their music and arts program are very strong with concerts and a annual musical. Not enough is said about this tiny school in SW Nassau County.

I am a former alumni of this school. I loved it! It is a small school where everyone knows everyone else and you receive a lot of individual attention.

amazing school..everyone knows eachother. A lot of bonding with fellow students. More one on one care for your child.

I like this High School because they know all the kids - its hard for a student to try and blend into the background - in this way - especially for children who want to 'slide' - the students are all encouranged to work to their own best ability.

East Rockaway High was the best. It's small enough for everyone to know each other and evolve into better beings but large enough for students to have their own space and express their individuality.
