Indian River Elementary is a great school. I went there when I was a kid and now my daughter just started kindergarten this year. She loves it and the teachers and everyone on campus are wonderful and very helpful.

This is a good school. My son has done really well at this school. I was told by a Pre-School teacher when my son was 3 yrs old that he was ADHD I hate that they are aloud to say such things to parents. I spoke with my son's Dr and she said that I never should have been told such a thing. My son is entering his 5th year and he's doing great. Teacher's are excellent.

This is a horrible school. My son went there for K-1 and 4-5. When he was in 1 grade he was so far behind he was not going to pass. We switched to Coronado were he excelled. Again 4-5 so many problems on educational level. Which seems to go away at other schools so I dont believe its my son. Also 4-5 there were so many after school fights and bulling. Which my son had brought to there attention and they seemed not to care. End of school not there problem attitude. I do have to say the new principal is great and I hope the school changes for the better. I have spoken with other parents who have delt with the same issues from this school and I wish more would comment in def not a 5 star school.

We love this school. Teachers are young and bring a different approach for learning. They care about their students and community.

Mrs. Persis is one of the best principals I had the privilege to encounter. She is dedicated and committed and have a heart for the children. The teachers are dedicated and make it known with the activities and hard work they put forth in their students work. As a parent I can proudly say thanks as my twins head to middle school. Thanks Salzano Laine Baird The Rogers Fischer and Merritt...What a pleasure those years were!

my 3 children attend this school and we will be sad that my 2 oldest are attending there last yr here. The Teachers and Princables are GREAT! and go out of there way to help the children at IRES

This is a wonderful school. My grandchild who is speech delayed has been in Pre K at Indian River for the second year now. The improvement in her speech and social skills have improved by leaps. The teachers really seem to care about the children as well as take great pride in their school. There is always something going on after school that gets families/children together. Any concerns we have are answered the same day. I can not say enough about this child family and community oriented school. Living in the area people will ask ' what school does you grandchild go to?' When I tell them Indian River they tell me how lucky she is to be going there!

My kids loved IndianRiver. The teachers are great the staff is friendly if we didn't have to leave because of a job transfer we would still be there.

Indian River has a dedicated staff who love children. They strive for academic excellence in all areas. Art Music and P.E> are all taught by superior educators who are very well versed in their specific area. The art teacher participates in all area art shows and is very creative in his artistic ideas for the children to learn about and work on.The P.E. coaches are both in excellent physical condition and encourage the children always to be active have fun and to be good sports. That is just as important as being profficient at your activity. The music teacher works on many programs throughout the year with all children and has a chorus that performs at many community functions and has been invited to perform three years in a row at Disney Magic Music Days.

My 3rd child is in grade 3 at IRES. On the whole I have been very happy with this school. The teachers and administration are wonderful! I was someone who went to 12 years of private school and always assumed my kids would as well...but we decided to use IRES and have never regretted that decision! My 2 middle schoolers are both in advanced classes and I feel in part that is due to the good education they received at IRES.

Parents are involved and happy to be heard at Indian River elementary. The children enjoy the challenges in academics but the arts are high on the list of priorities. The principal is new (2 yrs) but really thinks 'outside the box'. you will be glad if you consider this area for relocation!

Our daughter(9)attended I.R.E.S for three years. I was so impressed with everything about the school; all staff members volunteer program school spirit safety etc. We chose to put our daughter in the Gifted Program which is only offered at Chisholm Elem. in NSB. The gifted program offers alot and I'm looking at our daughter's future. We need to petition to get the gifted program offered at Indian River then we will have the perfect school!---The more involved as parents the better your child will succeed in school.--Review your child's work daily visit the school be a mentor to a child (one hour a week minimum).

Our second child is now going to IRE the school trys its best to help all the students. They look out for safety and well being. Overall I would give it a 4 out of 5. Only because I think more needs to be done for the students who seem to be ahead or get their work done early sometimes these kids need to be challended and most times they are Not. We are trying to get our child tested (Gifted?) and it looks like it will FINALLY happen this year.If our child is not gifted thats ok but hopeful they can challenge her more. The teachers are GREAT they work well with the parents when they know there is a problem and can help.Has a good PTA

i believe this is one of the better schools my children have attended. We moved from way up north and i had no idea how below average my children were being taught until we came here. Thankfully with the support of the teachers tutors and both principle and vice principle going out of thier way to help both my children they have been experiencing the knowledge of some very terrific important people.
