I had to transfer my child from another district to this school.Since day one the teacher was so helpful and caring.I have to appreciate all the hard work that the teachers did for the students but specially for my son.All of his subjects improved so much.I'm looking forward to this coming year so much.

Im really not impressed after two years of my child attending. I want to transfer my child to idea academy because the teach my child has is really not doing her job.

My daughter has been attending this elementary this year and while it is ok it is anything far from great. I have had several occassions where neither the teacher nor the principle were able to help with the bullying situations she had. I had to threaten to go to the superintendent just for the principle to hear me out completely. The teacher is anything but professional explaining death and being pregnant to my child. The teacher would never call me back during conference time instead would choose to ask my 7yr old daughter what I needed. The worst experience yet.

This school is excellent!!! All my three children have attended this school and all are attending BL Garza and ENHS this year. They have had an excellent foundation and are all doing very well now considering I had problems with my youngest child. The teachers and principal were extremely patient and helpful during this situation and helped to turn him around. He is now involved in sports and band and is doing well in all his subjects. I owe a great deal of gratitude to all his elementary teachers who helped him.

My three children attend De La Vina Elementary and I can only say that the teachers and staff are exceptional. My children have attended other schools in nearby districts and this campus far exceeds all of them. Special thanks goes out to Ms. Gonzaba (Pre-Kinder) teacher Ms. Morales (Second Grade) and Ms. Pena (4th Grade). Special thanks goes out to Mrs. Playle for being such a wonderful principal and most of all for always taking the time to visit with all parents. This has been the only campus my children have attended in which the principal has an open door policy and makes you feel welcome. I rate this campus a 5 star.

I have two children @ De La Vina. My oldest child has been blessed with wonderful teachers I have only wonderful things to say. My youngest child his teachers have been...a very different story. The teachers he's had have been less than proffessional and competent. I have been continually mistreated by the teachers my youngest child has had. I don't feel the issues we have had have been addressed by the facilitator of the school nor administration. I have continually been offered alternatives but not solutions.

My 7 year old daughter is in the second grade @ De La Vina Elementary and is very happy there. I am very impressed by the personal treatment from all of the staff here. Their leadership is key! We have had the best of luck with her being paired up with a teacher that suits her needs. You can tell form the moment you walk in the front door that they want you and your children to feel at home. The only concern that I have ever had is a minor one. Last-Minute notifications of events taking place at the school. But then I can't legitimately complain because I am not up at the school on a regular basis offering my help!

My girls just moved here last late December and I am proud of the school. The teachers especially Mr. Martinez and Ms. Lopez really helped with the transition period. I am really proud of them. Both my girls really did well in their new school. My eldest daughter even cried on her last day in school because she`ll be in middle school this coming school year and she will really missed her first school here in Texas. Keep up the good job. Special mention to your principal Mrs. Playle congratulations for the good job well done. Thank you very much. The proud Mom!
