California Standards Test (CST)

In 2012-2013 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

BULLYING IS PERMITTED AT THIS SCHOOL.......Completely useless staff; VP is out of her league a coward and doesn't understand her role as a champion for children. Staff that stands up for the kids is completely ignored!!!!! BEWARE>>>BEWARE>>>>BEWARE>>>>BEWARE>>>>BEWARE>>>>BEWARE SOUND THE ALARM AND GET OTHERS INVOLVED BEFORE ANOTHER CHILD TRAGEDY HAPPENS!!!!! BAN TOGETHER PARENTS AND ENSURE YOU CHILD IS NOT LEFT ALONE IN A VIOLENT SCHOOL

My son loves this school. He is doing better in this school than he was at his last Jr. High. He learned guitar really fast. I have nothing negative to say about this school at all. Previous to the school year starting we did a walk around and all the school staff were very polite and eager to show us around. A+ in my book so far.

This is the best middle school ever!! I love the school. It has lots of great and wonderful teachers that help the students whenever they need them! Special thanks to Ms. Ferland and Ms. Lapihuska. They can contact you at any time. I will sure to miss this school. I am currently a 7th grader at LCC. Very great school again! Be sure to check it out! You will love it.

I love the curriculum! I don't care for some of the 7th grade teachers but overall this is a great school if you have an over achiever!

i am a current student at lcc and i say this is an outstanding school. the teachers are always concerned about your education and you personally. there are NO bullyes here. there are a lot of things to do for example we recently had nerd day and it was sooooo fun participating in that activity

Im a student there and its a pretty good school to be in. Most of the students are from either Blossom Valley Elementary Rios Elementary or Crest Elementary. The teachers vary between good and bad. Mostly if you know the teacher came from Greenfield you know they won't be a good teacher. Other teachers still vary on them. English and history teachers are cool science teachers kind of creepy math teachers vary. It's not likely you'll get bullied.

I'm currently attending this school and the teachers are but are guided by a terrible principal

The facility is new and first class. Unfortunately the teachers are allowed to spew their political dogma (LOVE OF OBAMA AND THE LEFT WING) at will. This is neither legal nor appropriate.

Great school community. Interested in kids i.e. Washington DC trip for 8th graders.

i am a student there and its an ok school but the teachers are mean. There are a few nice teachers and u would be lucky to have a nice teacher

As a teacher of 13 years I have seen many schools and I have to say that LCC is definitely one of the finest. It reaches the needs of my GATE child academically but also meets her needs socially and safety wise. The teachers are incredible and the principal is someone I wish I had the honor of working with someday.

The faculty at this school have really brought out the best in my son. They have raised his self-esteem and interest in learning. The teachers are very friendly and motivated and the principal is a great guy who gets to know all of the kids. It's also a beautiful new facility and I feel blessed that my son is able to attend such a school.

I am a parent whose child is currently at Los Coches Creek and I couldn't be more thrilled! Mrs. Lapihuska and Mrs. Washer are wonderful! They truly care about their students and enjoy their careers! Mr. Roach is awesome! My first two kids went to Joan McQueen and there is no comparison! The environment at LCC is by far the best environment for middle school kids. The kids and families at LCC are wonderful too! It is a 'family' atmosphere not a 'whose who' or 'who has the best clothes and most money' atmosphere! Mr. Roach had said at a orientation at the beginning of the year everyone is treated like family here no matter what district you came from and it is soooo true! We were not treated like that at Joan McQueen. If we weren't in their district we were treated like second rate.

i im a student at your school and i think that we as studdents have 2 much home work

You couldn't ask for a better middle school! The principal is incredible; extremel;y involved in the school and very concerned with the curriculum and community. Awesome parent involvement!

I am very disappointed in this school and its curriculum. The administration is disorganized and ineffective. The teachers are either exemplary or worthless-- no in between. Not what I expected from a brand new school who supposedly chose the 'cream of the crop.' As a parent of both a Los Coches Creek student and a Joan MacQueen student I feel that Joan MacQueen is far superior and educates their students at a high school level. They also spend their money wisely and so it benefits the students. Los Coches Creek just can't get their act together.
