Unbelievable! I am so disappointed with this school's administration better said 'What administration?' I am happy my son will no longer be attending this school. I truely beleive that a prominent title doesn't necessarly make you worthy but to carry such one must acknowledge value and act upon your title. Unfortunately with my issue RMS Administrative Department lacked worthiness.

Today Riverside Middle is getting better by the day. With the new assistant principal discipline has been enforced at a correct level. Regarding the previous comment by Mrs. Aguirre the campus has added a drop off zone which is already servicing us parents. Also a new science wing has been added and a state of the art gymnasium and cafeteria. Teachers are very close to the students and parents. Extracurricular activities are strongly encouraged especially fine arts and foreign languages. The YISD vision statement says that 'all students will graduate from high school fluent in two or more languages prepared and inspired to continue their education in a four-year college university or institution of higher education so that they can become successful citizens in their community' and so far Riverside Middle is doing its part to make this vision statement a reality for all of its students. I greatly recommend RMS!

One of my children just strated school at Riverside Middle. It's early in the year but I have some serious concerns. The traffic surrounding the school is treacherous. Praticulaly at the west end of the campus. When I talked to an assistant pruincipal about this problem her response was that middle school students are not elementary students and 'know how to cross the street.' She failed to understand that the students are not the problem but rather the careless drivers who don't slow down or yield for the students. I aksed for her support in getting parents involved to help monitor the area. She responded by telling me that parents don't have the time to do this and that they'd have to be trained. She then went on to tell me that YISD has open enrollment if I'd like to move my daughter to another school. What a welcome.
