THis has been my daugthers first year at howitt she is in 6th grade and she is doing fantastic. She adjusted wonderfully and she has been on the honor roll all year. I feel it has a lot to do with the teachers at this school and how they treat the students. I also think it is wonderful that the principal is always somewhere in the school and not hiding in his office.

My Experience with 7th grade with my daughter has been alittle dissapointing. . In September of 09 my daughter was put in reg ed. That was the first mistake. She has adhd tics ocd etc. Not one of her teachers knew she had any of these issues yet she has had an I.E.P for 5 years since grade school. I thought the teachers were suppossed to check all paper work on in-coming children. Yet her files were not looked at for obvious reasons. Comments that were said regarding her tic (cough) please don't cough in my face are you ok you seem to have a terrible cough. . Months after she was put into collabrative classes I though things were going to get better???? The teachers were suppossed to sign off on her agenda daily. Not once until after the new year did this begin to happen. Now I can see what she has for H.W

My son is in the sixth grade this year (2007-2008) and it seems he has finally found his 'place.' There is a great Horizons (honors) program lots of after-school clubs and organizations to join and more friends..
