Standards of Learning End-of-Course (SOLEOC)

In 2011-2012 Virginia used the Standards of Learning (SOL) End-of-Course tests to assess students in reading, writing, math, science and history/social science subjects at the end of each course, regardless of the student's grade level. The SOL End-of-Course tests are standards-based, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Virginia. The goal is for all students to pass the tests.

This school is not as bad as everyone is making it out to be. I admit that the administration has changed a lot and some teachers show favoritism but that is not the majority. Some students are just horrible to the teachers while I was there one teacher quit because of the students. The teachers try their best. Not all of the students are bullies either. Also students are NOT in fights almost every day whoever told you that lied. The school isn't ideal but I always felt safe attending it and I knew just about everyone in my class and the two classes below mine so i don't believe there are cliques and I never experienced discrimination. There are nasty people in every school and you should not take the actions of a few to be the actions of all.

This school is horrible. The teachers are bitter play favorites can't do their jobs properly and do nothing about bullying. The students are mean and bully kids if the child isn't to their standards. The administrators don't care I know from experience since I was supposed to talk to the principal about something going on involving me getting bullied but he was too "busy" to do it and had me to talk to someone else. Don't send your child here it's awful and it will put your child through a nightmare. They will literally be terrified to come to school every day.

My son be a freshman this year and I have to be up at the school several times cause he be bullied. It still be happening and nothing being done.

I just love this school. I have been so happy here and have made the greatest friends. My teachers are really caring and supportive. I love the football team and have great team mates.

Thank God we are moving away from Farmville. Please pay for private school. Students are in fights almost every day. They text during class cuss (and the teachers often do as well) and being here is a constant disappointment. Do NOT send your child to this school. My daughter calls it a buffet full of mediocre food when she describes the curriculum. The teachers can be really nasty as well if you aren't on a favorite. If you are then you can do nothing wrong. This is not what I want my daughter to learn or experience. What a complete waste of time it has been to send her to PECHS. If I could give a star lower than the one star rating I definitely would.

I attend this school now and there are tons of diff. social groups others frown upon others and fight and gossip!! even if you arent like that you will get gobbled up in its intense nonsince!! I am in the 8th grade almost 9th.

This school is aweful. There is no communication with parents. Teachers teach by the SOL only. Students are out of control most teachers don't care they are just drawing a paycheck not qualified I can go on and on. I am currently looking to move my remaining two students out of this poor excuse of a school.

This school is the worst time spent in my life. The teachers and staff do show favoritism and look downon the other students. The students that attend school are out of control. There are few students that graduate and make it in life. That's not the doings of Prince Edward High School. It's because those students are just naturally smart.

I'm a graduate from this so-called school. Most of the staff plays favortism. Students are out of control. Teachers are bitter and don't really know what they are doing. My advice is pay for private school.

Being a graduate I have mixed emotions about the schools. I went on to a very good 4 year college with no problems. However the leadership of the schools has not been very consistent.

I graduated from this school and it was really a great experience. The teachers were really great and took a personal interest in students. My oldest child just graduated in June 2006 (with a 4.25 GPA) my sixth grader is an honor roll student and I have one in kindergarten whose sole mission in life is to learn to read. I attribute all of this to the teachers and administrative staff. Job availability in Farmville is awful but I commute an hour to work each day so that I won't have to change the school that my kids attend! I love Prince Edward!

Horrible. Simply horrible. Everything about this school is out of control there is no student discipline at all teachers have zero control parents are nonexistant unless they want to complain that their kids are being held accountable.

As a graduate of this school I am far too aware of the many social groups that often discriminate against others. Upon visiting for various activities I have always felt unwelcome. It is obvious that I amthe true minority!

This High School is a very good high School. There are no cliqies between the kids and everyone knows each other. Also THis town is in the middle of 2 big cities( an hour from each so there are things to do for the kids. I love this school
