Very disappointed. 5th grade was fine 6th grade was terrible. From the grouping of the classes to the lies when asked it was one bad experience to another. Many fine teachers could do a great job but just not happening. Anti-bullying signs all over the walls do nothing while the bullying is rampant and overlooked. Even sadly by a few teacher themselves. Especially sad that one of the biggest offenders belongs to staff.

So far our worst experience in the Southeastern School District.. Both Elementary Schools are exemplary but the Middle School West grades 5/6 is just dissapointment after dissapointment. Education is subpar where multiple kids are held to the lowest standard. There is no opportunity for challenge or growth unless your kid makes it into the GEIP/Gifted Program. The teachers are all trying to overcome poor management and they are losing. Most of my friends who can afford it have taken their kids out for private schools. Others have opted for HomeSchooling and PA Cyber School. We went into it with hopeful minds but have experienced what most of the community already told us about this school. It is the black-eye on what is otherwise a decent rural education.

My daughter attends 5th grade at SEMS West and LOVES it! She has wonderful and caring teachers. She has become a straight A student and has been inspired to read more than she previously did. All staff is friendly and welcoming. School is clean. Great School!
