This is the 3rd year my son has gone to this school and I must say I think it is getting much better reviews than this school deserves. This is the second year in a row that the teacher has just "given up" on my child. He has trouble writing and not one of the teachers or one of the 2 aids in the classroom have even attempted to help him. The first semester is not even up yet and already they are talking about leaving him back next year. The last 2 teachers have said that he is very bright and knows the answers but can not write them down properly. I have requested learning disorder testing to find out why he is having so much trouble writing but they have said that they do not do that. It took complaining to the school board to get them to begin the testing process. I am strongly considering changing schools the only thing keeping him there is not wanting to take him from the friends he has been with since pre k. However hearing not 1 but 2 teachers say that they "give up" on a child who is having trouble only with his hand writing and struggles some with math comprehension seems extremely ridiculous to me.

The school is good for creative little minds because they offer special art/music/drama classes before school at very little cost. However they are not reasonable in regards to some behavior of children in the lower grade levels. My child pointed their finger like a gun at a friend and was written up with such vigor that it was as if they had a real weapon. They veered from their standard written class protocol for behavior and consequences and did not report to us the parents when it first occurred but kept us in the dark.

Great academics superb offering of arts options. Everything from musical instruments to dance drama and even Taiko drumming! Impressive! I also extremely appreciate the very professional attitude that the school takes with each student's school career. The school is also very insistent that students treat each other with kindness and respect and I feel that the kids who leave there are well-rounded considerate people.

I am very pleased with the support of my soon to be 4th grader. So much my kindergardener will also attend next year. And this is after years of private schools.
