Words can't express the compassion dedication support and understanding of my son's social/emotional issues and the impact they have had on our family. The staff at Reed "get it". My son has made such great progress there over the past few years; never in a million years when we were at rock bottom before he came to Reed did I imagine the progress he would make. My son is now happy comfortable being educated and actually making friends. They also do have more male staff now than they did just a couple of years ago (just to update the comments from previous reviewers). I can't say enough good things about Reed staff.

I am amazed at the support my son is getting there. They require parents involvement which was wonderful to have everyone on the same page. Its a very small school and I would recommend it. However I wish there were male staff as it is an all boy school but that's not the school's fault.

I was a s tudent at Reed Academy. I found that the staff were very understanding and helpful. I learned a geat deal from the educational program- which helped me in my later years to graduate High School. I know that I couldn't have made the changes I did if it weren't for the therpay I recieved as well as my parents. My parents worked hard with their Reed Therapist to make changes that made our family come together. The residence is like a home with rules and regulations. At times it is hard to live with all of the rules. But in the end it was very helpful to me. Although I didn't realize it at first. After going on to a larger school I realized how lucky I was that Reed was a small 5 day school Even being available on week ends and vacations to me and my family

Overall it was a very helpful school for me and would recommend it. But the food wasn't great and the staff were to protecting and sheilded the students from the outside world. (Didn't let us watch the news)and almost all of the staff were female. That jut doesn't click for an all male school. But they do know what they are doing.
