The teachers are committed to the children's education great support from administration. Parents do have responsibility in their child education. The rating is not the reflection of the staffs efforts at Hillcrest Elementary School.

The new principal is trying is best yet the main problem is 85% of this schools population is transient due to the large appartment complexes near the school. This signifiganlty hinders this schools ability to get active concerned parents involved.

If parents are involved and actively advocate for their child it is possible to get a good education. If not they will barely scrape by.
