There are some terrific teachers at Parkside. The staff are all very professional including the office nurse and guidance. I recommend Parkside over other local schools.

We moved to our neighborhood from out of state based on the reviews Parkside Elementary received. We have not been let down! This is a wonderful school. We have one child in 1st grade and one in Kindergarten. They love school enjoy learning and form a close connection to their teachers. I volunteer quite a bit during the year in their classes so I see what goes on day to day and Parkside has exceeded my high expectations! The staff really does care and it shows. The amount of learning that takes place at such a young age is amazing to me. The teachers use current technology in the rooms and the kids take to it enthusiastically. The Principal and Asst. Principal are wonderful and very engaged in the day to day activities of the students. I would never consider moving now so my kids can stay in this school

I am very impressed with Parkside. This is our son's second year the teachers are excellent and the principal truly cares. Some days I can't believe the complex lessons they complete at such an early age. My son in Kindergarten started work on bar graphs addition and substraction and rationalization/comprehension type skills. But I would rather have my children pushed academically then just attend one big day care. If our nation's education system is turning it around it must be starting at Parkside. I also agree with the parent that posted on June 8 2011... Parkside has zero tolerance for bullying and it is enforced! It's to bad Parkside only goes to 5th grade! One last thing though I the parents are involved care and want their children to succeed. Parkside plus involved parents equal our children's success! Thank you Parkside for caring about my son's and soon to be daughter's education!

My son will be starting 2nd grade next Fall and I love this school and the staff. It is a newer school which is nice but aside from the structure the staff is top notch. No school is without flaws but the Principals are always available to the parents and the teachers are fantastic. The kids are always happy when you see them and that says alot for me. They have a no tolerance for bullying policy and it is strongly enforced.

Parkside is a great school. Both of our children attend Parkside and they both love the teachers staff and administration as well as the Principal and Vice Principal. Thank you for making this school so great! We love you guys! Keep up the great work.

Parkside indeed is a really good school with caring teachers for the most part and great staff & PTA. The principal has been accessible and come through whenever issues arose that required his attention. Both my children attended Parkside and while my son has gone on to middle school now he once was assigned to an ineffective teacher for homeroom. My son has always been a high achiever and an honor roll student and where once he was excited to go to school and eager to learn he no longer was and dreaded school. This teacher seemed bored and moody about teaching and let the kids teach themselves for the most part while she sat at her desk and stayed on her computer 85% of the time. Once brought to his attention Mr. Eichenberg took care of it. This a school who takes care to address issues effectively.

I enrolled my daughter at Parkside three years ago in the second grade. She had previously attended a private school in the area from PK through first grade. I was amazed at not only the quality of the education but also by the ability of the faculty/staff to create a family environment.

My son attends Parkside Elementary School and we had a wonderful experience for the most part. The class sizes are large and at times observed that it was a little much for the teachers to manage. Great communication between parents and teachers. But noticed that the parents need to take the lead and provide direction on what they are looking for. However we did have concerns over process and procedure as to access records and school nurse. Even though these concerns were minor it open the door for concern with regard to liability accountability etc.

Parkside 'ROCKS' they have the BEST teachers and staff! We have been very fourtunate to enjoy and grow with Parkside over the last 5 years. If ever you need anything call on Mable or Terry in the front office. They are the life support for the area. Like many families at Parkside we were new to the area and these women had the answers. Mr. Eichenberg and Mrs. Gardner still amaze us to this day. 900 kids and they know there names... This is a Great school and my children have thrived. The administators and the teachers want every child to succeed and will work with you to make this happen! This school loves positive parent involvement!

Kindergarten was a bad experience. Our child began the school year excited and inquisitive and ended the year tired and bored. The school tries to cram too much curriculum into kindergarten which needs to be a balanced learning and play environment for children of this age. Too much homework for kids of this age. Little recess or playtime. Too many kids in the classroom.

This was by far the best school my son has ever attended and there was a ton of parent involvement which helps as well. Great teacheres and admins!
