California Standards Test (CST)

In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

My daughter transferred to this school last year. She was fortunate to get the teacher that she did. She was experienced caring compassionate and very generous. This is the kind of environment you want your child in. My daughter is reading 150 page chapter books in a couple days and is only entering the second grade. Thank-you Meairs!

This is one of the best schools in the Westminster School District along with Hayden Elementary.

As a Parent I find Meair's teachers and office staff to be of the highest caliber.

Meairs is quite strong in the early grades but unbelieveably weak in 4th and 5th grades. The fact that the school only received a 5 out of 10 is also embarrasing.
