My son is a student here and I have had no problem so far. His teachers have been great I have always been invited to be a part of his classroom activities. I have heard complaints about the principal but have had no problems with her myself. This may be due to the fact that my child is a good student. Some parents don't like the idea that they can't walk their child to the classroom. I however understand that this is for safety issues and have no problem with it. I went to this school as a child and am glad my son goes here to. I do wish they would hurry up building the new one though.

I have 3 childre in this school (K 2nd and 5th). I have had no problems at all here and other than the shape of the building itself I love this school. We moved for 2 years and my kids went 1 year to a 'blue ribbon school' which was nowhere near the quality of this one especially the care the teachers give. Yes the classes are larger than they should be and my daugher is a slow learner as well but the teachers have been very receptive and offer help especially when I reach out and ask. As for parent involvement it is there if you reach out for it. I hav done several field trips worked in Santa Workshop and helped with parties. Parent pick up is very safe and guarded and I have no concerns about the welfare of my children. We are pleased and proud of Fairdale!

I am what I call a first time school mom and I always thought it would be a great thing to have my children in school and be active in their schooling to be a hands on parent.BUT not in Fairdale Elementary. There are so many problems at that school its unreal. There needs to be a parent/teacher/principal relationship there. Fairdale could be a good school if everyone would work together instead of against each other. This school is also in need of repairs such as a NEW school. It needs so much. There are some great teachers there that really care but then theres those who are not that makes it bad. This school really needs a clean sweep makeover.

Fairdale when my daughter went there had great leadership but the onlt leadership I see now with my son there is a few teachers and a guidance counseler (which is great) but lack of other authority members leads to deception untruths of what you are told and what is done and to the other reply most teachers there do not have any contact with parents Im yet to understand the agenda policy we must sign but yet it may be days before a teacher signs or even replys so what the purpose if they dont check them anyway.. But the one good thing that has been added was a new playground other than that I cant wait till this year is up and my son is in trap hill...

To me fairdale elementary school is a great school the teachers are friendly and helpful. But I feel that there is to many students in each class for just one teacher. My son has a problem with reading and math. I feel that he is left behind. He has a slower leaning pace than the other students do. Why can we not get these great teachers some help.
