Our grandson had an excellent year in Kindergarden this year at Goochland Elementary. He left school this year really looking forward to 1st grade. His teacher was absolutely wonderful...very kind and patient and taught him so many things not just his letters number reading but how to be kind to each other and so many of life's wonders. He loved kindergarden!

We loved Goochland and really hated to leave. The teachers go out of their way to make each child a success. Our 2 children were ahead in some subjects and they made sure that they were challenged. We loved the community children parents and teachers. I would highly recommend this Goochland if this is what you looking for in a school!

My daughter is in kindergarten and her teacher is awesome and she is behind compared to other kids in her class and they have been doing so much to help her. My only complaint is I arrive early to get my daughter because the ladies who stand out front who are suppose to keep an eye on the kids until they are picked up NEVER do.. Kids constantly hanging on the edge of the sidewalk and one day my daughter ran out into the parking lot when seeing me which is what made me start coming early and standing on the sidewalk waiting for her. They RARELY have you sign your kids out I will go get her and they will not even notice me picking her up or if they do they say nothing to me and that scares me a bit

Wonderful learning is happening here. I have two children in Goochland Elementary! The teachers are enthusiastic and work double hard to teach. The talented & gifted program starts in Kindergarten with 'young explorers'. Very cool!

Excellent school systems. Teachers are entirely involved with students. They offer a gifted program for all grades. Kids are even impressed with the educational program. Afterschool enrichment programs offered. Smiles all around.

I cannot say enough GOOD things about this school the teachers staff and entire faculty. I'm extremely impressed with the amount of learning that happens even in kindergarten. They have had full day kindergarten much longer than the surround counties and have it down to a science. Other schools should be looking at GES of how to have productive full day kindergarten. The teachers care and take the time with the children. The children all seem to be happy to be at school and they are learning so much! Kindergarten is not play-doh and fingerpainting anymore. Goochland County schools are one of the states best kept secrets.

The teachers seem to be interested in their students and work hard to make school a good learning experience. Good behavior seems to be maintained. (I am a granparent and volunteer.)
