Overall its a great school socially for the students and community there's only a handful of favorite parents that help out can be very cliquey teachers don't inform or offer asst. In finding help when a student struggels the general answer is to send them back a grade

My son loves being a Shawmut Hills Shark! ) His teachers have been wonderful and it's great to have such an accessible and helpful principal. The sensory lab is super helpful for active kids to get some energy out! The playground has big trees and lots of space to roam (rare for a city school). Gifted children are challenged and we love the diversity that you just don't get at a private school.

I love Shawmut! I drive me child to the other side of town every day so he can receive the excellent education he is getting at Shawmut. The kids know the rules and respect them. The teachers principal and parents all work together as a team to educate the students. I love that I can be so involved...I would not want to be anywhere else.

My granddaughter who lives with me attends Kindergarten at Shawmut Hills elementary school. She is very bright and could read at the beginning of the school year. I was concerned that she would not be challenged but my fears were laid to rest at my first parent teacher conference. The outstanding teacher had caught on very quickly that my gal could read had her tested and began offering her advanced material. It is a very difficult task to teach a class with students starting from different levels and different abilities. This kindergarten teacher has everything well in hand. There are other enrichment programs offered as well;such as music art etc. The school is small enough to be personal and large enough to offer extras. It is a gem.
