Student (2005-2009) This school has a great Biology and Social Studies department specifically Biology Economics and AP Gov't. I currently attend Valdosta State University (VSU) as a double major in Spanish/French with a minor in Psychology and GCHS foreign language deparment helped tremendously with my comprehension of Spanish once I began my college curriculm. The English department at GCHS should definitely include more writing in their curriculm. Although reading is very important the first two English classes that most students in college take requires them to write a large amount. The staff at GCHS is highly qualified and most are motivated and have your child's best interest at heart. All in all GCHS will prepare your child for most college classes in their future no matter where they decide to attend.

I am a senior at Greene County High School and I advise anyone reading this to avoid sending their kids to this school. It is simply a terrible school. The administration is terrible. Every few years some principle will make some bad decisions and half of the teachers would leave. The aministration is more concerned about dress code and other bs rules (No bookbags in classrooms no hoddie sweaters shirts may not have designs on it no strip shirts no sharing lockers) than the actual success of students.I've had several experiences where the administration would smile at me and promise to help with something and then simply blow me off and ignore me. The teacher and the administration are in constant feud. There are some good teachers but there is also a lot of teachers how should never be allowed in a classroom.

Greene County High School is not wonderful but its my family. Theres plenty of bad and good memories held btw thoses walls but what school doesnt. Compared to other schools i would have to say we're a little retro but this is the country. I feel that some teachers care and some don't but every school deals with that issue i just wish they would spend more time choosing our administratives..its our future in their hands and i dont believe they realize that. I wont say that its the worst school and i wont say its the best school but Greene County is a family and i can see that there trying there best to keep this family together.

GCHS is a horrible highschool. The teachers do not care about the students. Our classes we dont do anything at all. I would honestly rather be anywhere but in this school. I dread coming here.

I am a student at greene county high school. i would like to say that this is one of the worst high schools in the state of georgia. they mix the 'gifted' and 'slower' students together so that the gifted ones are getting held back and the slower ones are having to speed up. they don't have much to offer students academically but they do have many wonderful vocational courses. I am in the JROTC program at this school and they do teach you leadership and discipline. if i had my way the whole school would have to participate in this program so that each and every student would learn about discipline and leadership.

I am a 2004 graduate of Greene County High School and I would just like to let everybody know that this is one of if not the the worst high schools in the state of Ga. The teachers at this school do not care if you gain knowledge or not they are just there for a pay check. Most teachers are gone within a year of being there. The sports program is among the worst in the state. Not all coaches but some don't even know the basics of coaching. How can you coach a kid if you don't know the basics of the sport yourself.

I'm a fomer student at Greene Taliaferro I was class of 2001. I have to say that I really enjoyed being at that school. Because of the teachers and their time to help us I graduated in the top 20 of our class and I earned the HOPE scholarship. I have to say that this is a school that like to help students help themselves and now I'm in the military but if I was still living in Georgia I would send my kids to this school.

I am a 2003 graduate from Greene County High and I must say that I did recieve quality education from there. Similar to any school one must apply themselves and ask questions as well in order to learn. I enjoyed all four years in High School and what I learned there has helped me excel in college as well.

Greene County High School is a nice school but often they overlook the 'gifted' children and only focus on the 'slower' children. They sometimes will mix the children together in classes but other than that it is a great school. You have nice teachers and you can get an okay education. If you want your children to get the HOpe scholarship i would recommend you send them to another school.
