GMS is a school where student go to grow and excel academically as well as become connected on a Spiritual level with the Lord. This is not a school for "just Mennonites." Although the school was originally started by a group of charter members who broke apart from the public school because they decided that they could not pledge allegiance to the American flag rather they will only pledge allegiance to Christ our Savior. Recently under new administration GMS has taken great strides to become a more competitive school academically. GMS offers students K-12 with courses such as chorus computer Home Economics PE and more including the math science social studies and language arts courses that are common for students to be studying. During the month of January high school students are offered a break from normal classes and are allowed to choose from several options for the term. Options include but are not limited to missions trips local work projects photography art etc. The school wants to see each and every student come to a lasting relationship with the Lord. The school's verse comes from Psalm 119 105 "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light for my path."
