South Prairie is a student-focused results driven elementary that gives children of all skill levels opportunites to improve and excel. I am a mother of two girls one going into 3rd and one going into Kindergarten. My younger daughter attended preschool at South Prairie this past year. My older daughter participated in BLAST (additional assignments to further academic excellence) in Math and Research. BLAST is provided for a variety of subjects so if your child shows extra skills in something but is right on track or struggles with another subject they may still be asked to participate in this advancement program which I think is awesome. The facilities are great. We live close to South Prairie and walk to the playground all the time. If you are looking to move to an area where children matter to the school system South Prairie and the Dallas Center - Grimes Schools is the place for you.
